A real home from - comfortable and cosy

Loved the fact the living area and kitchen were upstairs and the bedrooms and bathroom downstairs. The house was very comfortable and cosy

No garden but this is not really a ‘didn’t like’ but more of a small inconvenience as we have a dog. A small price to pay for such a lovely place

Overall great accommodation and location.

The supply of essentials including tea, coffee etc was plentiful for our short stay. The house being upside down (the bedrooms were on the ground floor) was ideal for unpacking suitcases.

Ideal if you are attending an event at the racecourse - cottage was very comfortable.

Water in shower was not particularly hot but it may have been that we needed to put an immersion on. Difficult to find parking in the dark but during daytime would be fine.

It was comfortable and a great location, but there’s just a few details that need attending to.

The location of the property was lovely, very beautiful part of the town. It was very cosy and had everything we needed.

Sadly there was building work across the road which started at 8am every morning. The bed in the master bedroom was extremely uncomfortable, I kept waking up with pins and needles because it was so hard. Luckily I brought my own pillows as I had read some other reviews on here, but my partner ended up using one of the spare blankets as a pillow as he said he felt like he was choking using the pillows supplied, they were far too big for anyone to sleep on. We also felt that the house was very damp, there was condensation covering the windows every morning and it was only October. A couple of dehumidifiers might have helped a little bit.

The property was very clean with great facilities and was well equipped. The beds were comfortable. The area was quiet and was a great base to sight see

Lovely cottage which fulfilled all of our needs

Lovely clean comfortable cottage in nice location with off street parking

Shower could be improved with a rise and fall shower hose instead of just an overhead raindrop hose. Just a suggestion that a walk in shower would be better than a shower over the bath in our opinion Ladies don´t forget a shower cap.

We had such a lovely time at the cottage we had our dog with us ans there were just so many lovely walks around the cott

The property was lovely, exceptional clean and absolutely everything you needed was provided.

Only thing I can think of is maybe a mirror in the double bedroom it wasn’t too much of an issue for me as my straighteners have a long line so stretched and I could use the mirror in the hallway.

Good place for an exploring base.

It was in a good position for exploring the area and close enough to walk to local shops There was plenty of room and enough equipment to feel home from home. The beds were comfortable, and the two bedrooms were on the ground floor with the bathroom. Upstairs is the lounge and bright living room with dual aspect windows.

Great Value

I loved that this was an upside down house and it really added to the character of this wonderfully rustic property. The property was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Being situated so close to the town centre was very convenient as well. The host was very friendly, responsive and flexible which we appreciated.

Warm, comfortable very clean. No complaints.

Location by the river was nice, a very easy stroll into the town , the house was very warm and comfortable, quiet at night, comfy sofas. The full range of tv channels was very welcome as we weren’t going out in the evening because we had dogs with us. The host was very helpful and in touch to make sure we were happy. Easy to find and parking no problem.

I prefer a proper shower rather than one over the bath but there was plenty of hot water. A minor detail.

Some very good aspects but some important ones need addressing/

Quiet location by the river. Very clean and well equipped. Comfortable lounge with nice lighting, comfy settee and good TV. Nice bath and bathroom . Kitchen well equipped. Able to unload outside property and park behind property.

Very uncomfortable bed in main bedroom. {Good in twin bedroom} Pillows also not good in either bedroom Shower either very hot or cold and. Draughty windows and fridge noisy at night. Noisy boiler too.

Visiting a friend in Fakenham

Great Location, close to everything I needed and 10 min walk to my friends house who I was visiting. Cottage was lovely clean and cosy and I felt safe staying there on my own! I loved that it was situated next to the river.

A lovely flat, clean, well kept and well presented, in a very good place for exploring Norfolk.

The accommodation was very clean, well furnished and well presented, in a quiet but central area. Fakenham is an excellent point from which to explore north and central Norfolk, with many interesting places in any direction. Fakenham is not a destination in itself, but does have all the necessary services and facilities for holiday needs.

There was nothing to dislike about the accommodation or location.

Lovely cottage, amazing location,super clean & equipped with everything you may need. Red Lion Bistro - 5mins walk away,defo worth a visit & of course Holkham beach is only around 20min drive.

Only small suggestion would be new pillows in the main bedroom

Beautiful, comfortable stay in stunning location

Wonderful, clean (baby items were brand new!) modern, homely and so so warm. Everything was new and clean. Beautiful location, very unique. Ideally placed to explore North Norfolk. Dog welcome too! Unfortunately didn’t get to use the amazing double as I didn’t want to disturb my baby. Everything was great.

A cafetière would have been great but just preference
