Number Thirty One Smiths Beach Phillip Island

The property was great for 12 guests. We all have our own privacy and the house was well set up to have large number of guests staying. The location was a few minute walk from Smiths Beach which was fantastic and the General Store opened up the weekend we stayed so it had coffee and food close by. Only a 10 minute drive into Cowes for shopping and groceries and 10 minute drive to the penguin parade. The bathrooms were clean and check in and check out was easy.

The cleanliness of the pillows, rugs and bedding was very poor. The rugs smell and the mattress covers and pillow covers look like they havent been laundered for some time. Luckily we bought all our own doonas, pillows and linen. The cook top didnt work properly, the biggest burner on the stove wouldnt work. The microwave door gets jammed and doesnt close properly so you have to pull this out each time you need to use the microwave. We couldnt get a number of the TVs working and Only 1 remote control for the heating worked for the whole house. For large house that sleeps 12 guests, you need the kitchen appliances to be in tip top shape for the cost that is charged. I sent a message to the property in the days prior to arrival and didnt not recieve a response.
