The perfect marriage of city convenience and closeness to nature, this historic home in Southwest Portland is a true gem. Beautifully situated on half an acre of land, the house sits directly adjacent to a serene greenbelt with tranquil Ash Creek running through the backyard.
Built in 1947, this two-story home enjoys the distinction of being one of the oldest in the area. It's a quiet and private piece of property - and entirely fenced, with both drive-in and walk-in gates. Yet it's also mere minutes from some of Portland's most popular spots. You'll be a one-mile stroll from Washington Square, Portland's premier mall, and close to I-5 (two miles), Multnomah Village (three miles), Lewis & Clark College (five miles), and downtown (seven miles).
The property is somewhat of an oasis for nature lovers, with its large yard providing space for children and dogs to play. Set up family games of badminton in the grass and linger on the covered deck for alfresco meals at sunset.
The interior was designed for easy entertaining, with both the living room and the game room offering a wood-burning fireplace, a smart TV, and an enhanced sound system for movie nights. Prepare family dinners using stainless steel kitchen appliances and retreat to the game room afterwards for foosball, billiards, or a few rounds of darts. When it's time to turn in, you'll find a smart TV in each of the five bedrooms.

No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.
If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 5 vehicles.
Security camera details: The first camera is on the front porch, aimed at the driveway gate. The second is on the deck side of the house, aimed at the walk-in gate. The third is on the back side of the deck, aimed at the garage and backyard driveway. The fourth is in the boiler room (which should stay locked). All cameras, except the one in the boiler room, are accessible to guests via the tablet in the kitchen.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

This was a great home for us for a quick family getaway. Comfortably slept all 8 of us. The location is great, only about 25 minutes from downtown and in a nice, quiet neighborhood. We were able to close the gate to the driveway and let kids play without worry in the yard, and the game room kept all ages entertained.

We had a group of 10 stay for 2 nights. Had a great time on the property enjoying the backyard and entertainment areas. The pool table was the star and it was also nice to be able to bring our dog along. The location was easy to get to but felt private as soon as we were through the gate.

Home was as advertised. Only issue we experienced involved the electronic gate over the driveway. It stopped working without any explanation. Worked through the issue with the property manager and we obtained updated code (it reset itself). They were kind enough to assist with making up for our inconvenience. Would stay again.

There was plenty of room for all 9 of us which was great. We did run into a few issues, like the TV in the game room required a code to use any of the streaming apps so we couldn't watch anything. We could not get the soundbar or any sound from the TV in the living room to work so we really couldn't watch that TV either. There was left over food in the drawer under the stove and some of the pots/pans baking sheets had stuck on food on them. The ceiling fan above the table had about a 1/2 inch of dust on it.
