Bright Updated Family Home

Very nice and updated

My husband, 3 boys (ages 15, 12, 9), and me stayed for 15 nights in this clean, beautiful home! It was a perfect location in the woods but close enough to town to get the necessities. Due to this quiet, woodsy environment, we enjoyed the peace of sitting on the deck to take in nature. But the highlight of our stay was seeing a mama moose and her baby out the kitchen window! The homeowner, Shi, was very helpful before our trip by quickly answering my questions via messaging in VRBO. She gave me many suggestions for day trips from the house that greatly enhanced our stay, such as driving the East Knik Road to the end, going to Eagle River Nature Center, Eklutna Lake, Thunder Bird Falls, and others. This was our first trip to Alaska, and staying in the home was the right choice for us. The location was perfect for us to use as a hub to take either short or long day trips and come back for a restful sleep. We appreciated having plenty of coffee, creamer, dishwasher soap, laundry detergent, and toilet paper to get our family of 5 off to a great start for this extended stay! We would love to stay here again when we come back to Alaska from Iowa in a few years!

My family has stayed in vacation rentals all over the world and this lovely house will remain one of our favorites. Its location felt quiet and private, but close to lots of restaurant options. It was spotlessly clean and stocked with so many amenities, it was truly a home-away-from-home. Our only regret was not being to stay longer. If we're lucky enough to visit the area again, we certainly hope to stay here again. Thanks so much for a perfect stay.
