This was a pleasant 1 night stay. The property was clean and tidy. I didn't cook during my stay so can't speak to the kitchen. The bed was comfortable. Central air and ceiling fans kept the humidity at bay.
The neighborhood was quiet and felt almost empty. It's obviously a lower income area that is gentrifying. A walk up to Caesar Chavez Blvd gives you restaurant options but also condemned buildings and overgrown lots.
It's a quick walk to the bike/hike trail along the river, but you are not particularly close to downtown if you're walking. Could be a quiet escape from the downtown hustle if you have your own transportation.
