What A View!
This custom-built cabin offers breathtaking mountain views in an emerging luxury community, just 4 miles from downtown Banner Elk and 5 minutes from Banner Elk Winery. Both Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain are less than 20 minutes away, while Valle Crucis, home to the original Mast General Store and the popular Valle Crucis Riverside Community Park, is only 18 minutes away. A 40-minute drive will take you to Boone or the famous Grandfather Mountain State Park.
"What A View!" is a stunning post-and-beam chalet with a wall of windows in the main-floor living room and an expansive deck that showcases the magnificent Blue Ridge Mountain scenery. This creates a memorable backdrop for a fantastic High Country getaway. The open-concept main-floor living space includes a leather sectional couch, a gourmet kitchen, and a dining area. The main-floor master bedroom features a king bed and an ensuite bathroom with a large stone-and-tile step-in shower.
Upstairs, you'll find a loft with a workspace and two bunk rooms with XL twin-over-queen bunk beds, sharing an upstairs bathroom. The downstairs bedroom has a California king bed and a double-size pull-out sofa, perfect for children. Two twin-size sleeping chairs provide additional sleeping space. The lower-level family room includes a wall-mounted TV, theater-style seating, and a mini kitchen, offering ample space for fun and relaxation. An additional room has a king bed, a queen sleeper sofa, and a private bathroom. Sliding glass doors in the family room open to a pebble-style patio with a path leading to a luxury hot tub overlooking the mountains.
"What A View!" allows up to 2 dogs per reservation, each weighing 50 pounds or less. The cabin includes WiFi, four Smart TVs for your streaming accounts, and a washer and dryer. Central heating and air conditioning ensure year-round comfort. Please note that the gravel driveway has a steep incline, so 4WD or AWD is required in winter. An EV charger is conveniently located in the parking area. The outdoor fire pit is currently incomplete, so please do not use the concrete fire pit area.
*Due to the location, internet speeds may vary depending on the weather. Using multiple devices may adversely affect streaming services and slow internet speeds. This issue is currently intermittent and is being resolved.

We had a great stay with our adult children and grandchildren. The house is beautiful, well kept, and provides spectacular views of the mountains. It snowed one day, which made the the trip a blast for my 3 year old granddaughter. There was plenty of space for our party of seven. All three levels of the house had spacious bedrooms. The lower level offers a nice private space for adults or kids to hang out and watch TV or play ping pong. I would love to come back when the weather is warmer, so we can do outdoor activities without getting hypothermia. Snow tubing in 19 weather was not pleasant. There are plenty of great places to eat and get groceries near by. The host was easy to contact online and always responded in a timely manner. This was my first time booking with VRBO. Overall it was a great experience.

We enjoyed the cabin overall and it was as pictures described. Plenty of space for all of the family. The view was also beautiful. I would only want whoever is considering to rent this unit be very aware of the driveway. It is a must that You drive a 4 wheel drive with chains, if there is predictions of snow. We got stuck three times in the driveway alone. Everywhere else was fine. It was just getting to the
