Mount Bliss Home Stay

The location was so homely and closer to the Galle road. It has nice garden and the view from the master bedroom was so pleasant in mornings and we heard the birds singing in mornings.

The property is modern and had all the facilities mentioned in the add. It has a nice spacious living room, dinning area, nice 2 bedrooms with attached bathrooms, the rooms has wardrobes and the pantry was spacious and all items needed for the stay With a Microwave , Toaster, Stove, Fridge included . The living room and bedrooms were all air conditioned . Properly is also having a very decent neighbourhood. There is a nice fish pond at the entrance which was so pleasing to see as well. The care taker couple was very nice and friendly and prepared delicious meals, upon request which we paid separately.

Everything, the location , spaciousness, the privacy, and having the caretakers downstairs made the place feel quite safe .

Mount Bliis is a five-star accommodation featuring a spacious two-bedroom apartment, beautifully maintained with high-quality fittings—perfect for a family of four. I’m from Melbourne, Australia, and stayed here for four nights. The owner resides overseas but is easily contactable and extremely polite. The property is looked after by a lovely elderly couple, Soma and Prem, who live on the ground floor. They were exceptionally kind and hospitable throughout our stay. Soma is an incredible cook—after I provided the ingredients, they prepared delicious traditional meals for us. I had originally planned to dine at the Mount Lavinia Hotel, but their home-cooked food was so outstanding that I never needed to. The apartment has a charming and tranquil atmosphere. From the large balcony, you can enjoy the sea breeze with a glass of wine or whisky while listening to birds singing and watching squirrels play. The garden is well-maintained and pruned, which meant we experienced no issues with mosquitoes or flies. The apartment is very comfortable, featuring two air-conditioned bedrooms, ceiling fans, en-suite bathrooms for each room, and ample linen storage. It felt like home. I will absolutely stay at Mount Bliis every time I visit Sri Lanka. Highly recommended!

There is nothing I didn't like, it was a lovely experience.

A beautiful large apartment, ideal for several people. Big kitchen/fridge/microwave. Many local takeaways. Completely private unspoilt views of the garden and surrounding trees/neighbourhood through the large glass walls to the house. Two decent sized double bedrooms, both en-suite and with adequate AC. Nicely furnished and homely/stylish, classic with modern twist. Large dining table ideal for groups/families. Accommodating owners that are offering value-for-money. Large outdoor patio area with seating for 4 or 5. Very secure, the caretaker is there 24/7.

The large main room can get warm (for overseas people) as it is a tropical climate, but you are able to open the large sliding doors and the overhead fans make it serviceable. It is secure and quiet/not overlooked, so these can be left open all day. You don't have an outdoor key so it is advised to let the caretaker know when you exit, though they were always available to let me back in the secure gate.
