Maison Mouna

Traditional, beautiful riad, tastefully decorated, walkable to many shops and restaurants. Nice apartment for our family of 5. If you are traveling with very young children, this may be difficult as there are many stairs. The extra beds are couches located just outside each of the two bedrooms. I think there was a bed/couch off the kitchen as well. Beds were very comfortable. The kitchen and laundry are on the third floor. We did not use the kitchen other than storing water bottles in the fridge and making hot water in the tea pot, but it looked like it had the essential utensils. The two bathrooms are accessed only through the bedrooms. For $15 they were able to accommodate our late check in time at 11pm. The apartment suggested Mustapha for arranging taxi to and from airport and that was super helpful. If we were able to access the roof patio, it was unclear. There was a pad lock on the opening to it and did not find instructions on how to open it. Our time was cut short due to flight delays but it was a perfect place to stay and very walkable to so much!

It seems difficult to keep the apartment cool. There is one mini split ac on the third floor and cool air trickles down the stairs to the bedrooms. The bedroom dehumidifiers seem to push out warm air, but did help with the humidity. Potential mold issues going on due to the humidity and lack of air movement. Box fans could help move the air around more. We visited in the summer when it is hot and this may be normal for most of the villas.
