Historic Character-filled Jade Cottage

Very tidy. Secure. Well maintained

Ice cube maker part of fridge was one solid block of ice and wouldnt shut with fridge alarm going off saying draw was open. Had to melt the ice with hair dryer for 20 mins

The house had loads of character, a fully stocked kitchen, warm comfortable beds and great heating which was important for us as we stayed during winter.

We had trouble getting the dishwasher and oven to work but worked around it, hand washing dishes and using the slow cooker.

A beautiful character filled Queenslander with lovely aspect & great veranda. Great kitchen. Lovely furnishings.

One of the 3 bedrooms had a king single bed. The historic house has a weird layout of bedrooms.

Property was as you’d expect an old Queensland to be. Was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Really poor communication with the property manager. Asked to check in an hour early - no response, just a generic check in message. Unfortunately, the oven didn’t work - we tried to contact the property manager about, to see if there were special instructions to use the oven. No response, despite trying to make contact via the booking app, and also the mobile number provided. The dishwasher was also broken. Upon reading recent reviews, it looks like both the oven and dishwasher have not been working for a couple of weeks. This is disappointing - we booked a house with a kitchen so we could cook meals, and had purchased food that needed to be cooked in an oven, that we had to throw out at the end of our stay.
