Yugen Suites at Pico De Loro

I liked that the room was plenty big for four people and that the center piece wall-table functions as a dining and work area. The construction of the table was solid and it felt very heavy and stable. The room had some complimentary coffee sachets, a bathroom key (for emergencies), and a sufficiently equipped kitchen area. There's also a water dispenser. The toilet had a bidet. The bed and pillows were nice, clean, and soft. The balcony was also great (though our view was only the mountain and not the beach) and I liked that there was a proper place to hang wet clothes. The unit's location is also just a 5-minute walk from the country club swimming pools. The shuttles came regularly. The building had its own generator so we had no problem with power. It was timely as well because we came during a typhoon and power fluctuated a lot. It was also neat that it has a dedicated clinic and an EMT unit is nearby, which are important when traveling with a family.

There wasn't any space at all for clothes! Both the cabinets in the room were magnetically locked and labelled "for staff only". I also didn't like that shower's hot water turns off every time there was a power fluctuation, so you had to turn it back on again each time. It wasn't mentioned in their reach-out message before we arrived at the property (it should be standard procedure especially during typhoon season). I also didn't like the messaging when it comes to what you can and can't access in the property. In this property's message from the host section, it literally says: "ENTRANCE FEE Guests entering Pico de Loro will be asked to register at the gate and pay entrance fees on top of the booking rates. This will provide access to the Beach and Country Club swimming pools, as well as indoor and outdoor activities offered.". HOWEVER, the Beach Club is charged separately from the normal entrance fee (it's framed as an "optional add-on"). To me, the way the message is written made it seem that I'll only pay one fee and not mentioning that before I make the booking is quite deceptive because I booked thinking I only had to pay once to access all of the property fully.
