Taormina Suite Downtown

This was our third visit to Sicily in the past 5 years. We formerly stayed on the coast and received shuttle service to the upper town of Taormina. This time we decided to stay in the upper part so we could just walk out the door and be be in the midst of all the restaurants and shops. We were very happy to stay next door to the famous restaurant, Osteria Da Rita, as it's location was very central. The apartment was all newly renovated and beautifully decorated. The kitchen had all the provisions needed for our 6 night stay. The bed and bedding were very comfortable and it was so nice to have two full bathrooms. There was an a/c unit on each floor of the apartment that did an excellent job in keeping us cool. The apartment is 3 floors with a spiral stair case which is fine for those who can navigate stairs without a problem.

The down side to staying in the upper town of Taormina is that the trash is picked up every morning around 5am which is noisy. This is unavoidable regardless of where you stay in the upper part of town. The good part is that the town is always spotless and I never saw any signs of pests or rodents. Bring noise canceling head phones or ear plugs and your all set!

Location was amazing and the host was so accommodating especially when we had issues with our transportation was delayed due to the volcano.

Location cannot be better, right in the heard of the city. The flat is very charming and clean with a very usable balcony where you can sit there for hours snacking and people watch.
