About this house rental
Private Pend Oreille River getaway on a 3 acre piece of property with over 200 feet of water frontage. Wildlife galore is a sight to behold! Cozy home with old world charm and the accents of Pottery Barn! Enjoy the spacious deck with a full river view! Exploring the local trails for hiking, kayaking the river in the summer and skiing the nearby mountains (49 degrees or Schweitzer) in the winter! We welcome dogs but we must know that they are coming and the pet fee must be paid.
You will love the view of the river from the deck and the huge, beautiful garden, pergola and firepit! A hot tub is also available on the patio looking out to the river. Serene beauty and peaceful surroundings await! You will often see the many squirrels playing around and the eagle couple flying around and playing! 4 Kayaks are always available for enjoying the river! In the winter, the snow covered mountains and path to the river are so beautiful from the huge living room windows. And the cozy fireplace is so fun!
If you need the loft with 3 twin beds, it is accessed by a ladder on the wall. Kids & teens really enjoy that space with the cozy area and beanbags. Many adults have slept there too, but it's not for everyone. :) The small spiral staircase in the living room leads down to the bedroom suite, but that bedroom can also be accessed outside by an exterior door that faces the river. This is important to note if there are issues with climbing stairs.
There is laundry availability right near the kitchen and we have a highchair and paknplay for anyone to use. We also have a window air conditioning unit for the summer months, which is helpful because the house, especially the loft can get hot. Opening the windows at night really helps.

The place was great for our needs. The access to the bedrooms was a bit challenging. The BBQ is not gas so you need to bring charcoal.

This was just the place we needed for some peace and quiet. Since our stay was in early spring we didn’t get to see the beautiful garden and yard but can tell once it blooms it will be gorgeous. The view from the deck is awesome. Watched an eagle adding to the nest not far from the deck. The kitchen is very well stocked and the bathroom has any toiletries you may need. The cottage was homey and welcoming. Kayla was the perfect hostess. Hope to come back and see the garden some day.

This property has a beautiful garden and its own access to the river. It was perfect for a getaway to unplug and slow down. This was our first house rental and taking our dogs. We had so much fun and everything we would need. There are grape vines so if you bring your dogs just make sure you watch them. The river is beautiful but you do need to swim out pretty far for the water not to have stuff in it.
