About this house rental
Enjoy resort style living with a hot tub, sauna, gym and stunning country views! This fabulous home is spacious enough for 2 families, with multiple open plan living areas, alfresco dining & a large deck that leads onto landscaped lawn.
It’s the perfect spot to unwind, you’ll feel like you’re at a retreat. Surrounded by nature, but only 5 minutes drive from the Matakana village and Omaha beach, the location doesn’t get much better for a relaxing Summer getaway.
The space consists of a the main house and an seperate upstairs apartment.
In the main house there is a gorgeous open plan living area, gas fire place, and a large kitchen with butlers pantry. There are 2 lounges, one that enjoys the stunning views and the other a media room with 65” TV, which is also great as a kids playroom.
The master bedroom has a King Bed, with a walk-in-robe and large ensuite with 2 basins. The 2 other bedrooms have 3 single beds, sharing their own large bathroom with bath.
The garage is fully carpeted, so you can make the most of the full weights gym, spin bike or rejuvenate in the Infrared Sauna. It can be also used as another rumpus room.
The apartment upstairs is a calm contemporary space, with its own private entrance and sunny deck that also enjoys the lush country views. It has its own lounge with a 42" TV plus a lovely kitchenette, with large fridge and dining table. Plus there's additional outdoor dining on the deck and a 2nd BBQ. There's a large bathroom, with washing machine.
There are 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with a queen bed and king single bunk configuration. Great for second family or grandparents to have their own space.
The Local Area and Neighbourhood
The area is full of lush green countryside, fruit orchards as well as white sandy beaches, and a spectacular coastline to explore. Matakana itself is known for its gorgeous wineries and Saturday Farmers Market with great local food, produce and live music by the river. You can spend the day strawberry picking, swimming at the beach, exploring the sculpture trails, or just relaxing at a local winery. There is so much on offer for a weekend away here!
