Stunning beachside 2 bedroom by EdgeTrip

Good communication by message with the host - she was very responsive and helpful which I really appreciated. Location is good, at the end of the Main Street in Maroubra which has plenty of takeaways/coffee outlets, it's about 200m from the beach and a 15 minute walk to the local Woolies supermarket. Beds were comfy and in general the apartment is comfortable. Great to have a washing machine and dryer. Good to have Wi-Fi.

I wouldn't call the apartment stunning, nor 5 star and it's 200m from the beach, so not beachside! On arrival we weren't prepared for the walk up 3 flights of stairs to the first floor, with heavy luggage after a long haul flight but we made it. The apartment is basic, it caters for 4 sleeping but the sofa is only big enough for 3 - another chair is needed which the room can accommodate. There's no furniture on the balcony and that had not been swept on arrival. We'd requested a cot which the cleaners forgot (but did offer to put in a day after arrival, we'd made do with the beds). There were only 3 breakfast bowls (one had clearly been broken and not replaced), we would have appreciated a long handle broom which was needed travelling with a 2 year old! The whole apartment needs some TLC - the bathroom door stop fell off whilst we were there. There were no oven-mits in the kitchen. Bathroom supplies were sparse and more coffee would have been appreciated. The little welcoming touches were missing to make it 5 star - we run an AirBnB so notice these things.
