Luxury on a Budget Chelmsford - B&B ROOM in a quiet family home

The room was clean and the bed really comfortable. There was a good amount of space for clothes and plenty of tea & coffee making ingredients. The foods provided for breakfast and snack were excellent...and extensive! I was especially appreciative that the host had taken the trouble to provide items that took into account my various allergies. The accommodation was very close to the bus stop for easy access to the city centre.

There were a LOT of signs reminding visitors of the rules. The one about using the shower was in several places - two of them almost next to each other! The amount of 'rules' stuck to doors and walls felt over the top. And the ones stating "smile - you're on camera" made me feel really uneasy as it seemed like I was being watched.

I was totally blown away by the extra touches for her guests. The bed was super comfy and the room was a really good size. The instructions for the shower were helpful and communication was brilliant. This place made my trip so much better. I felt welcome and it was like i was visiting an old friend. Just brilliant! There was nothing not to like.

The property was clean and smelled good. The bed was comfy. Bathroom / shower was great. The provision of toiletries was an unexpected bonus. Generous supply of snacks and drinks. The padlocked gate to the garden was reassuring to stow my bike my safely. Sue was at home - friendly and easy to talk to. Very happy all round. Would recommend.
