If you're looking for an authentic Vietnam family experience - this is it!!! This is not a party house (even though there is a party Homestay across the road). Recommend paying 150k for the dinner (I have asked for vegetarian and they made enough veggie variety for me), so that you get to sit down with the family and eat together. It's a large buffet, so food will be there until you're full. And you'll be full way before the food will run out. 😆 The only tricky bit (well, and is part of the authentic experience) is the family doesn't speak English (will be the case in a lot of Homestays). But if you need you can use Google Translate. You can also pay for the stay using the local QR code, I've been using Moreta Pay app all around Vietnam and haven't withdrawn a single banknote for the last 3 weeks.

There's not much not to like! If you're not arriving on a motorbike, it will be a long walk - so keep that in mind. Be careful with the neighbours cat that might come round, I got scratched! Had to go to Ha Giang to get a rabies post-exposure vaccine, I am not giving rabies any chances. Partly my fault I went to pet it and the cat said no.
