Relaxing Riverside Getaway with a Cozy Fireplace

I loved everything about this great little house! We had the place all to ourselves, and accessing the property was done via door code that was sent to us in advance of our arrival via email. Although we never met our hosts in person, they were very nice to deal with through the whole process before and after our stay. The facilities for a "cottage" are great (spacious bathroom with good shower water pressure and temperature, spacious eat-in kitchen, propane BBQ on back deck). There were also cool little features like white noise devices in the bedrooms to help you sleep. The location is great, too, as we walked into town each morning via a pedestrian footbridge and path. I hope to come back and stay here again!

The bedrooms are small, which is fine by me but may be a little more difficult with a larger group. It's a minor nitpick, but the beds were set up with a comforter/bedspread and fitted sheet but no sheet. I would have liked a sheet between me and the light comforter.

Very clean property, very spacious backyard with river look, big fire pit for night family reunion, and lots of space for children to play soccer and tennis.

Wish there were extra bedrooms with attached washrooms.

The home was perfectly located in Bancroft, Ontario - a short distance from our camp near Hwy 41 in Ontario. Plenty of parking space in front of home. There is a lovely backyard which goes down to the York River. Ample space on and off the deck for relaxing in the evenings. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes, glassware and pots/pans and cutlery. Wifi worked well.

There really wasn't anything that could have been better. The experience was excellent.
