About this house rental
Take a break and unwind at Carolina Charm, a peaceful, lakefront, waterfall surrounded gem! This is a modern home with cabin flare. Breathtaking lake and mountain views are available from every angle and room of this three story home. We are on Lake Glenville which is the highest mountain lake east of the Mississippi at 3400 feet!
Inside, the home comfortably sleeps 8 guests in three bedrooms, each with its own full bath. And a pull-out sofa and two single sofas can sleep another 4 guests. An additional powder room is located on the main level. There are two separate TV room living spaces, and a fully appointed kitchen complete with Viking stove and gas grill for the Foodie in your family's cooking delight. Cozy up to the wood fireplace, and play cards, a board game, or show off your voice with our karaoke machine! We are a pet-friendly retreat.
Outside, enjoy your morning coffee on two separate levels of lake view decks featuring an outdoor dining table, umbrella, comfy chairs, swing, and six person hot tub. On your way to the dock is a cocktail gazebo, outdoor kitchen-bar with taps, and custom rock fire pit seating area we call Stonehenge. The private dock is huge with ample room for lounging, sunbathing, swimming, and fishing. We have two kayaks, and two paddleboards for your use. And the local marina will rent you a boat and all the lake toys you need.
We are 10 minutes from Cashiers, 15 minutes from Sapphire Valley (skiing and golf), and 30 minutes from the Highlands. Every season has something to offer in the mountains! Hiking trails, fishing, ice skating, shopping, restaurants, and tours are widely available. Absolute must sees in the area include Dry Falls, High Falls, and Whiteside Mountain. Or take a day trip to the Biltmore Estate in vibrant Asheville. We are close to many stunning golf resorts including High Hampton and MountainTop.

Stayed at this charming home after Christmas through the New Year. Host even took the time to put up a Christmas tree for us! Although we didn’t get to take advantage of the beautiful lake and water activities, the view was incredible and fire pit was wonderful. Would definitely come back here again. Close to many restaurants, hiking, horseback riding, and more.

My husband and I came from Texas. Our son, his wife and two babies joined us from South Carolina. Carolina Charm is a cozy comfy home with everything we needed for Christmas week and preparing Christmas dinner. There was plenty of wood to keep the fireplace going. Plenty of room for us. I enjoyed the balcony off the master bedroom, for a little me time. I ordered A LOT of groceries from Ingels before we got there, then found the kitchen so well stocked that we didn’t need half of my order. We brought my two sweet dogs. i’m so thankful to the owners for allowing dogs. I can’t say enough good things.There are so many extras, perfect for summer months, which is why we want to come back summer 2025. There’s a newer, very nice boat dock, too. Thank you very much for making our Christmas extra special.

Beautiful location on the lake. The house had a well-stocked kitchen for us to cook New Years dinner in. We enjoyed the fire pit and had plenty of wood to use. Our kids took out the kayaks even though it was winter! BUT it really wasn’t as big as the listing said. We had 11 people and it was very uncomfortable fitting us in the house. One of the king size beds is actually an air mattress. And we had to rearrange the living room to fit it in. On top of that, the bunk room is not insulated and had no direct heat so it was basically like camping on nights that got down to 20 degrees. Finally, the hot tub has seen better days with rust stains all over.
