Great place to stay with kids. They ran laps around the living room and kitchen the whole stay. The closest water is very shallow, great for younger children.

The house was great.The oven wasn't clean.And under the couch could have been swept.With 14 people we needed more towels.But it was our favorite place to stay on the river.

We are a group of 14 from Missouri, 6 adults and 8 kiddos, and went to Gulf Shores for Part 1 of our annual family vaca then traveled up to Glenwood for Part 2. This house was PERFECT for our family!! Plenty of beds, the huge living/kitchen space was perfect for all of us to gather during the rainy days/nights and the washer/dryer are large units so we could pack light on clothes. The river was right outside the front door and perfect for fishing and tubing and swimming. There are 2 canoe rental places within a couple of miles from the house. It’s a quick drive up to Hot Springs for other activities and restaurants…we recommend the Cajun Boil! The neighbors have a volleyball net that was fun, there were cornhole boards and bags that we used a ton under the deck (which the deck is huge and we spent a lot of time up there too), and of course the fire pit was our fav place. There were plenty of cards and games and even some fun bouncy balls that the kids loved. We tried to get the 1000 pc puzzle done before we left, but failed, lol! Highly recommend this house. Very clean, plenty of cooking/dinnerware, lots of cabinet space, no complaints at all! I would say that if you are looking for a secluded house on the river, there are a bunch of houses all together in this area. It’s a pretty neat little place and the neighbors were all super nice. We saw deer every day. But it’s not a house out by itself on the river, just FYI. We normally don’t go back to the same house every year, but this one was way too perfect, I’d say we will be booking again!
