Did not want to come home, usually by day 5 I’m getting ready for home but this time was very different. The house itself is just lovely, the location could not be better for anyone who has dogs and/ or children. It’s a peaceful location with walks literally from the gate in any direction. Rothbury is a delight and has everything you could possibly need within a 10 minute walk. The lunchtime deals at La Mensa, the Italian restaurant, are fabulous. The house is so well equipped, everything has been thought out with comfort and usefulness in mind. We cannot wait to come back again. Our first time staying inland rather than on the coast was a rousing success!

The cottage was comfortable and well maintained. Close to shops and some very nice pubs and restaurants. They left us some basic provisions which were much appreciated.
