Was excellent location plenty around only one thing was it was freezing when we arrived and took a while to warm up

Quiet and cosy

Lovely quiet location. The apartment was clean, warm and cosy. Host left some basic groceries, which was a lovely thoughtful touch (although we didn’t use most of them because we brought our own part-used items from home to finish off).

The microwave worked intermittently so trying to reheat multiple items in a row was difficult. Would be good to have another small side table in the lounge - when you’re sitting on the sofa end nearest the door you have to hold onto your drink or put it down on the floor. There is a large low metal side table by the window but we didn’t like to try and drag it out to make a central coffee table in case we scratched the floor.

Cosy home-from-home

Great location, very warm and cosy. Felt welcoming. Bed in the second bedroom very comfortable. Lots of towels. Very clean. Great value for money and would recommend for a short break.

The main bedroom mattress was not very comfortable, husband and I kept waking each other up when turning over. Also, couldn't get the microwave to work, not a big deal, just unexpected.

Nicely decorated & clean. Comfortable beds. Towels provided & a thoughtful welcome pack of food items awaited us.

A few things would have improved the stay: Provide a stool to use dressing table. A dining table/chairs. Chair needed in 2nd bedroom.

A good base for beach combing

The location is great as it's a short walk into town and to the beach. There is plenty of parking available on the quiet street outside. The neighbourhood felt safe and it's very quiet and peaceful in the flat. It's a much bigger space than we expected.

The beds were uncomfortable as the matresses were worn and very soft. We asked for extra bedding for the soaf bed, but this wasn't available when we arrived - it was dropped off the next day, which we were grateful for, although there was't a sheet. We managed with what we had as we only stayed 2 nights. There are some small elements of the apartment that could do with a little attention - for example the shower screen seal is damaged and we could only find 2 drinking glasses.

Very clean and well appointed. Close proximity to town and within easy walking distance to beaches.

Wasn’t a dislike to be fair but the location may put some people off …… DONT LET IT !! Very quiet street but the apartment cleanliness and appointments make up for it.

Lovely short break

It was a pleasant experience, the apartment was comfortable.

Initially when we arrived at the property we were a little apprehensive about the location, but it was actually very quiet and pleasant. A bit too much artificial greenery though!

Responsive host. Beautiful quirky decor and special touches, comfy beds, good location, on street free parking, good price, good WiFi, Netflix and huge TV. Enclosed back garden for dogs to go out. Felt secure/ safe and apartment has nice vibe.

Lovely apartment in a great location

Lovely apartment. Perfect for our visit to friends. Excellent location very close to the seafront and shops etc. Very generous of the host to leave food for breakfast and snacks. Our dogs were really settled here and it was good to have the little enclosed back garden for them to go out in.

The lights don’t work in the downstairs hallway so it’s very dark when trying to open the door to the apartment. The bed was not comfortable at all, we could feel every spring- a new mattress is definitely needed!

A great flat to use as a base that just needs better provision for self catering

We had stayed here before and rebooked due to the location, good heating, comfy beds, sofa and quirky decor. It’s in a quiet residential area behind Asda and felt very safe. The bathroom is great and there are extra bits and pieces in case of forgotten toothpaste etc. It’s spacious. Parking is very easy on the street.

Perhaps most difficult was the lack of any lighting in the shared entrance hall. We had to use a torch to find the keyhole as there is no natural light. It was not very clean, the salad tray in the fridge was sitting in a large pool of spilt yogurt which splashed me. Half used tub of marg in the fridge etc. It was generally dusty. When we last stayed in feb I privately sent the owners a list of recommendations of things that were missing. I gave a 5* review as they were new and seemed receptive to sorting it out saying they would get into it. However disappointingly they took literally none of the feedback on board. Had I known we would have brought what we needed with us. This time Im putting it here. Im doing this from the perspective of also having my own holiday let and wishing to have it well equipped for my guests. The Appartment is generally great but not if you want to cook and eat in and would be improved by having: A table and chairs (even the fold up sort), more kitchen utensils ie a spatula , potato peeler, spoon with holes in, microwave food cover, a new frying pan, and pans general as current ones are not non stick, a sieve. The option of stronger lighting in the lounge. We saw a lot of thank you cards mentioning gifts of wine, biscuits, bread etc on arrival, we didn’t get anything this time, maybe the owners have decided to stop doing this. A shame as we enjoyed it last time.

Lovely location value for money

Liked the location and that apartment was spacious Really liked that dogs were welcome There was fresh milk in tbd fridge for us

The skirting boards were thick with dust There was half packets of food in the cupboard which I didn’t know how long they had been there Obviously the land lady hadn’t put it there for us so that was a bit off putting. I don’t use other peoples left overs.

Convenient, clean and welcoming.

Street parking right by the front door, WiFi was fast/strong, TV very good with a Netflix and iPlayer App, the host had left a very nice bottle of wine and lots of lovely snacks, handy draw in the bathroom with things you might have forgotton like toothpaste, one excellent non-stick pan, easy walking distance to the beach/Asda/shopping outlet, generally a convenient and welcoming flat.

The beds were so sinky they set off my sciatica. Maybe I'm unusual in needing a firm mattress but the main one was like a bouncy castle! Could do with more sauce pans and a wooden spoon or two.
