MERCADANTE - Luxury Holiday House

Excluding bed, apartment itself is nice, location is good in the middle of Puglia attractions with everything within 1 hour reach, have safe parking in the yard behind the automatic gate, quiet at night, but...

On the other side, dealing with owner over inadequate bed was nightmare. Firstly, apartment wasn't ready on time and we had to wait 2 additional hours to get in. Then we found out the bed is the cheapest soft mattress put on weak construction of sofa-bed which made us sink in the middle massively feeling like sleeping in the tube instead on the bed, making impossible to sleep properly. For 70€ per night this was unacceptable discomfort. Owner wasn't cooperative to do anything about it, just offered another apartment with regular bed if we pay 300€ more. Only after contacting Booking Customer Service, he came and promised proper bed next morning, admitting he already had complains about that bed, but obviously didn't done anything about it in the meantime. We already lost whole day waiting for solution between Booking and owner will it be fixed or we would leave, instead of sightseeing the area. The next day, bed didn't arrive! We finaly got just a better mattress to put on sofa-bed after 4 nights had already gone and if not tragic enough already, it was partialy wet because rain caught him while transfering it. All of this well ruined our 7 days of vacation there.
