We had an amazing time at Shearwater Cove. All of the staff were extremely kind and knowledgeable of the area. They constantly ensured that we were having a great time and had everything we needed. I would highly recommend staying at this property if you ever find yourself visiting the Seward area. We will definitely be back one day!

One of the most unique ecolodges in remote Alaska that I have experienced as an Alaskan! Well-appointed yurts complete with stovetop, sink, propane heating unit, comfy queen bed with quality bedding, towels, board games, bear spray, table and chairs, etc as well as an adjacent private outhouse with a glorious hot showering facility per yurt. This is a rare Alaskan kayak glamping experience, one that any true adventure traveler who likes some comforts (ie, bed, hot shower, heater) will want to add to their bucket list. I absolutely loved the freedom to hike and/or sea kayak at your leisure! The raw, wild scenery of this natural gem is absolutely EPIC! Kayaking along side a sea lion is a pretty incredible experience too, you should give it a whirl! Final note: 2 nights seemed to be the perfect length of stay as it allowed enough time to experience all the available hiking trails and also kayak out to all the local destinations near Shearwater Cove without it feeling extremely rushed. Trying to do it all in a one night stay, would be a lot IMHO.
Can't think of much. As long as all understand this is truly a REMOTE Alaskan lodge and come prepared to 1- fully unplug (there is no wifi or cell service), 2- dress for any potential weather (which can be anything in coastal Alaska) and 3- comprehend that you will need to bring EVERYTHING (ie, FOOD, clothing, dry bags, ICE, sunblock, rain gear, meds) except water, olive oil, coffee, and salt & pepper that you will need, then you should have an absolutely incredible experience!
