The host provided us with directions to the apartment and instructions for the door code. The apartment is suitable for short stays. We had five people, and the sofa bed was located in the kitchen, which felt a bit unusual. It's worth noting that there isn't a living room for our family to gather in, which wasn’t clearly stated in the description.

It would have been nice to be greeted by the host or to receive a welcome note or package in the apartment. The apartment is located on a busy street, so it does get noisy. If you are an early sleeper, you may need to bring some earplugs.

Only disappointment were the small sachets of hair/shower gel. Would’ve been nicer to have bottles attached to the wall maybe.

The property is in an excellent location, 2mins from the Metro, opposite Piazza Del Popolo. The photos are accurate but better in real life. If you have mobility issues, please note there is no lift and many stairs to the apartment. We had heavy suitcases and still managed fine

Effe 9 Apartment near Piazza del Popolo was a fantastic place to stay in Rome. The apartment is charming, spacious, and recently renovated and the whole building feels fresh, modern. Very well maintained, with a smart entrance and a concierge that adds extra reassurance. One of the standout features is the fully digital access system, entry to both the building and the flat is managed via a mobile app with no physical keys, which feels very modern and convenient. Inside, the flat is very generous in space, with two bathrooms and a kitchen that also functions as a comfortable living area. Everything you could possibly need is provided, making the stay effortless and convenient. The location is outstanding, right next to a metro station and just one minute from Piazza del Popolo; placing you in the heart of Rome with excellent connectivity to all major sights. A special mention goes to the host for kindly helping us store our luggage on the last day, which made a huge difference and made our departure much easier.

One small but important note: don’t forget to take the small physical key for the building entrance when heading out, as the entrance is locked at night despite the app access.
