Branco's Apartment by GALMI

Although everyone recommended we stay in Funchal, Ponta do Sol was a perfect fit for us. We found it very central for exploring and loved the neighbourhood. The view from the terrace was lovely. The ppty had every amenity we could ask for. It was EXCEPTIONALLY clean. Off street parking was very much appreciated. Washer & dryer were amazing for carry-on only travellers like ourselves. Maria, our neighbour, introduced us to homemade passion fruit pudding and couldn’t have been lovelier. The ppty management team kept in contact to make sure things were going smoothly with our stay - both in regards to the property and the sights of Madeira. There are a couple cafés in walking distance which were very nice and one of the best hikes was minutes up the street. This was our favourite accommodation of our 3 week trip and I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Our stay in Ponta do Sol was really wonderful. The apartment is located on the hillside, and the view from the balcony was a highlight every single day. We especially enjoyed having breakfast out there – it’s perfect for two people, although it might feel a bit small with more guests. Everything was clean, and we felt at home right away. We especially appreciated the warm and quick communication with the host, who gave us lots of great tips for our stay. Having private parking on the property as well as a washing machine and dryer was also very convenient, and the welcome gift was a really lovely surprise.

Honestly, there is almost nothing that could be improved – only some very small things. The kitchen is generally well equipped, but we missed having a few more regular drinking glasses and small spoons. The neighbor's dog barked quite often (unfortunately sometimes during the night as well), but of course that’s nothing the host can change. It didn’t stop us from enjoying our time. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would love to come back anytime. We can highly recommend this apartment and want to say a big, big thank you!
