Instructions to enter were easy to follow, plenty of bathrooms and showers (though they get busy at peak times) good kitchen and a nice outdoor area. Towels were given fresh pretty much every day.
One of us had a very squeaky bed, got very annoying and probably woke half the dorm. Was odd to not interact with any staff besides the cleaner. Toilet paper availability was a bit unpredictable but it was a holiday weekend. Good proximity to river/shops/city and markets

Location
A lock for the cabnets would be good

The location is wonderful, you are in the city center in just a few minutes and the castle too! They have aircon too which is really good when you are travelling in the summer. Even though it was a mixed room the toilets are separated which I liked.
They have the service of keeping your things before check-in but you gotta ask the guy at the pub, I can tell he was not very happy to help me. Otherwise the other staff inside the hostel are nicer than him. Not a fan of the door/room lock too, you have to manually lock it, which is fine by me when going out but at night, I got kind of worried that somebody can just come in if we didn't lock it from the inside.

They had a clean bathroom that was good and they provided clean towel
Every time you move a muscle the whole bed squeaks and wakes people up, it’s kind of an awkward situation with the bed you can’t fully go up the top of the bed because the roof is there so your feet over hang your bed.. I’m only 175cm

"The Sax Pub Hostel, I would say is right next to the heart of Ljubljana’s city center and near by the two rivers. Even better on such location, the travelers are able to endure the peaceful street Epp..."
