"John's Holthuus" is located just about 150 meters from the Baltic Sea beach, in the popular Schönhagen Vacation Park, one of the most beautiful vacation destinations in Schleswig-Holstein.
Leave your everyday life behind and enjoy the most precious time of the year in our cozy vacation home, decorated in a Scandinavian maritime style. Featuring 3 bedrooms—2 with double beds and 1 with two single beds—a spacious living and dining area with a wood-burning stove, and a fully equipped kitchen, the 89-square-meter house can accommodate up to 6 people. The sauna and whirlpool are integrated into the bathroom and are available for your exclusive use, ensuring perfect relaxation after a long walk along Schönhagen’s cliffs.
Round off your evenings on the south/west-facing terrace with a cold Flens by the grill while you plan your next day of vacation.
Up to two dogs are warmly welcome here.
Families in particular love to come to our small, cozy Baltic Sea resort of Schönhagen to enjoy their well-deserved vacation. Just about 150 meters from the “John’s Holthuus” vacation home, is the approximately 1-kilometer-long, fine-sand Baltic Sea beach, which is patrolled by lifeguards (during the season), seamlessly connects to the beach at Kappeln to the north, and transitions into an impressive cliffside to the south.
In the surrounding area, you’ll find plenty of recreational activities offering vacation experiences for all ages. In the Schlei town of Kappeln, for example, you can take a leisurely stroll and watch the sailboats from the harbor while enjoying a delicious fish sandwich. The kids might be in the mood for some action and would love to let off steam at the waterski park in Damp or at the Entdeckerbad water park while Mom and Dad pamper themselves in the spa. The local horseback riding stables look forward to welcoming visitors of all ages.
Our vacation home “John’s Holthuus” is also the ideal starting point for day trips to places like Eckernförde, Flensburg, the Schlei town of Schleswig, or even Denmark.
On the property and in the surrounding area—as is common in coastal and natural settings—wild animals such as rabbits or birds may be present. This is a natural part of the region.
Tourist tax: April 1–October 31 and December 15–January 15 €1.28/day/adult €0.42/day/child 12 years and older
Tourist tax Nov. 1–Dec. 14 and Jan. 16–Mar. 31 €0.64/day/adult, €0.23/day/child 12 years and older
The advance payment for utilities/security deposit of €250 is used to bill for electricity (€0.50/kWh), gas (€1.95/m³), and water (€8.00/m³). Any overpayment will be refunded.
