Cozy Beach Home with Resort Amenities, Oceanbay, lake views and 3 decks!

The swimming pools are further away and quite expensive for the value being provided. There were no restaurants or stores, no beach towels available at the club.

We loved the porches and the view and the fact that we were not far from the beach at all.

That we didn’t get to take advantage of of the club amenities due to the poor weather.

Place was clean, comfortable, well located and well stocked in the kitchen area. It was a cold rainy weekend in Galveston, so we spent more time in the beach house than we might have otherwise - very comfortable place to hang out! Would definitely stay here again.

My only complaint was that the hot water could have lasted longer in the shower.

The location was great. Close to the beach and far enough away from everything else to be quiet and peaceful. The owners/host were quick to respond to my messages.

The listing was misleading. It said it had a communal pool and resort amenities. Come to find out the resort was a mile away and you had to pay extra. Also, for such an extravagant cleaning fee, I would expect the place to be a bit better maintained. I also felt like I was the maid. I get piling the towels and maybe running the dishwasher, but at checkout we had to strip all the linens and wash all the dishes and put them away- we were given soap but no sponge or tool with which to clean the dishes nor towel to dry them. The walls and banisters were dirty. The master bathroom light was out. When we messaged the owner/host about how the listing was misleading, they became argumentative (and we were NOT asking or expecting for anything free or comped).
