CHAMPS ELYSEES - ARC DE TRIOMPHE

Missing bath gel.

The location is fantastic...

They should make provision for an iron and a board.

The location itself wasn’t bad per se, it just wasn’t what was advertised. It was spacious and the elevators (which are rare for Paris older buildings) was nice considering it was the 6th floor.

I have several gripes, my main being the location. It is advertised as rue rude in Paris but is a 15-20 minute walk away from this/the arc de triomphe apparently due to “privacy” which makes no sense considering hotels and airbnbs function completely securely whilst providing accurate locations - not to mention the name of the listing itself very clearly tries to play on the incorrect location they advertise. This was particularly troublesome as I was visiting Paris to see a friend over the weekend and have a 11kg infant. I didn’t bring a pram as the original location was a 3 minute walk to my friend, so upon arrival I had a suitcase, duffle bag and child to carry 15minutes from the train station. This was frustrating but when raised with the owner/person in charge they IGNORED my questions and concerns and continued asking checkout questions and giving directives. Strip the beds (even though a cleaning fee was paid) what time are you checking out so we can get said cleaner around (even though checkout was 12pm). Just a poor experience overall as I booked a month in advance and no where did it state that there would be a change of location until 15 minutes before my check-in time, if I had known this, I would have booked elsewhere/gotten a full refund of my money but the late information meant I would lose out if I cancelled. A few other things to note, the dining chair was unstable and genuinely collapsible upon sitting on it (I didn’t even attempt since it was so unsturdy) and the wall socket next to the main bed had completely exposed wires. I generally give the benefit of the doubt when staying at places but the location and lack of acknowledgement when confronted with this makes it apparent that the listing is dealing faith.
