Les mouches! Mais pas d'Aubrac sans vaches... Et pas de vaches sans mouches!

Tout: le calme, les 2 petits coins « terrasse », la déco intérieure, la propreté, le matelas ( on y dort très bien) et…, la climatisation par ses chaleurs! Très bonne communication avec les propriétaires qui sont discrets mais veillent à ce que tout se passe bien.

‘Oustalou’ (which means ‘tiny house’ in the Occitan language) is an elegant design. Modern, spic and span, all mod cons in the kitchen and living room, everything you need. The outdoor space, one in the sun and one in the shade, are a bonus. The hosts were very generous and helpful. I was there on the Camino pilgrim’s way from Le Puy en Velay. Oustalou is a 3km walk from where the Camino passes through Aumont-Aubrac. Luckily, there is a beautiful country path to Nozieres (where L'Oustalou is located) so you don’t have to walk up the busy D50 road. But if you do choose to do that, it’s easy to hitch a lift in this remote part of France where the willingness to help walkers is alive and well.
