Would 100% recommend going to this hotel was treated with great service and hospitality, located right near the beach and other attractions, but what made the stay exceptionally pleasant was the staff, especially Nina and Sukunder very hard working and polite and always made sure me and partner had the best stay I will definitely be returning. 👍

Probably the worst hotel stay I've had since 2020! I've stayed at this Ibis many many times, mainly it has been positive (and i have left plenty of positive reviews) but this stay was terrible. Tried to check in, they advised room not ready, be about 20-25 minutes. I could see a lot of other people waiting. I am patient, i sat and had a drink and allowed an hour to pass before going back to up to the desk. Room still not ready, they can offer me another one. I'll take it, I've used annual leave and have plans! I get into the room and it was clear IMMEDIATELY it had been poorly cleaned. It apppeared that there was dried sick on the carpet, stains, spills, muck, wrappers and a general smell. I go back to reception, i explain my plans are already in tatters, can my room be cleaned if i go out. I get back later and the surfaces had been done, the room freshened and a towel placed over the staining. I appreciate it was probably the best they could do. The hallways were so full of takeaway boxes and bottles, the guests the night before had obviously been party animals. All staff i interacted with were friendly but this Ibis now seems beset with problems, it is either being understaffed on purpose, or cannot retain staff. It will be my last stay at this hotel unless i see the reviews jump up. Noone expects funfair and fanfair from a budget hotel, but being able to check in and having a clean room really is a minimum

Lovely friendly staff, very well kept public areas. Decent breakfast with lots of choicds. Really lovely view across the bay. Let down by a very very dirty shower head with mildew/mould that fell on me during the shower and vents so full of dust they do not work. Mattress felt like it needed changing.

Stayed in room 415. Pros, lovely uninterrupted views of Paignton Harbour, Brixham, Torquay and Thatchers rock. No matter the weather it is a glorious view, especially at sunrise and sunset. Negatives, had to ask for the water that is meant to be included in premier rooms, this particular room is showing damage to the ceiling, with a frankly awful luminous green light that is on 24/7 and actaully casts shadows at night. If i had realised before bedtime i would have asked for a different room Also, if you happen to be sat up in bed resting against the headboard and the room next door dont hold the door as they go in and out you will get an almighty THUMP through the wall. Overall, unless the view is important the paid upgrade is not worth it.

One major issue which stopped me giving 5 stars. There is nowhere in the room with an electric socket within reach of a mirror. All women need to plug something in to deal with their hair and need the mirror to do so. It is a poor oversight which could easily be remedied by adding a mirror in one of the three obvious places.

Staff lovely Rooms comfortable- housekeeping intermittent they seem to come when you are in the room. This is anytime of the day. Room not totally clean on arrival Breakfast terrible. Scrambled Egg disgusting. Not enough choice for vegetarians I wouldn’t have breakfast here again. I would stay here though

Room was excellent with great views, plenty of space and really comfortable. Reception staff friendly enough without being over the top. Hotel is very well situated for the seafront and the town or for visits a bit further away. Only real complaint ( and I probably didn't read the small print) was the need to pay an additional £15 for parking at the actual hotel.

We used the Ibis for a mini weekend break. The hotel was in a good location to all amenities. Rooms were comfortable and clean (would have loved a fridge) and quiet. Our room was located to the back of the hotel. We did not try the breakfast but ordered a few beers in the evening. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Nice convenient hotel. Abit pricy on the parking charges and limited amount of parking spaces. Room ok. Booked to stay with a dog. Said on website you would get dog bowls in the room. Nothing supplied. Breakfast is ok, food is hot. Nice choices.

Really enjoyed our stay here….really clean great view from our window and great location …. HOWEVER the only down side was the electric car charging. I’d drove 250miles and just made it. Only to find the bays are unmarked so anyone can park there, and I can’t blame them for doing so as you would never know. The spaces were always taken by non electric cars and when I raised this with reception she said there’s nothing she can do which really wasn’t helpful at all. Why have the electric charging if anyone can just park there it defeats the object. And really caused a nuisance because then with be ry little charge and late at night I had to drive around and try to find somewhere to charge the car which really ruined the first night for us.

Very pleasant stay. The staff were helpful and efficient. We could have done with more tea/coffee/milk sachets and another extra pillow but otherwise everything was lovely.
