About this apartment rental
Breezes apartment is perfect for a couples' or friends' get away, a business trip, or a solo break. It is private, quiet, spacious, light and breezy. You'll have on site parking, separate entrance, and a hot outdoor shower to rinse off after a day at the beach. Relax on the large open deck with a view through the Banglalow palms to Minnamurra Headland.
The apartment is in a residential street close to Jones Beach. It consists of an open plan living/dining area and a large, well equipped kitchen. The kitchen opens opens onto a spacious deck, a great place to relax, take in the neighbourhood, enjoy the sea breeze, and listen to the ocean when the swell is up. There are 2 bedrooms - one with a queen bed and the other with a double bed. There is an IGA, fish and chip shop, cafe, and bottle shop at Jones Beach (a couple of minutes by car or a 10 minute walk); the Minnamurra Cafe often has live music on the week-ends. There are a number of walks you can take very close by, including a cliff top walk on Minnamurra Headland to the Minnamurra River, the Coastal Walk, the Boneyard, and Bombo Quarry. Kiama Golf Course and Golf Club is also nearby. Kiama township is a 10-minute drive. Kiama has some great restaurants and cafes as well as many interesting boutiques and home ware stores and of course the famous blow hole.
Please ask me about pets - a house trained cat or dog will be considered. It is not suitable for young children due to the stairs and height of the open deck presenting a potential hazard for young children.
The property is near a railway line. However, the trains are few and far between, and you will not notice the passenger trains. The occasional (maybe once a day) goods train can be heard, and I do not find this a problem. If you're lucky, you'll have a great view of the Kiama Picnic Steam train passing by on the weekends at around 12.30 on its way to Kiama and around 4.30 on its return. You will hear it blowing its horn on approach. It does not run every weekend. (14 and 15/10 and 4 and 5/11 are scheduled).
