Looking for a peaceful place to bring family or friends? Check out our house on Lake Santeetlah in Western North Carolina, a quiet place to relax and enjoy yourself. Close to the tail of the dragon, beautiful Mountain and Lake views. Robbinsville, is a very small community, there is one grocery store, 3 gas stations, a couple of local restaurants, a McDonalds, Wendys and Rogers Pineapple Whip. The county is a dry county, you can purchase beer and wine at the grocery store. And a local bee keeping company sells brewed Meade. The closest Walmart is in Murphy NC.

We enjoyed our stay. Peaceful neighborhood, clean accommodations. The only down side was no soap or shampoo for showers and the owners require taking garbage to an off site location.

Check in was easy. The host allowed for an early check in (and out!!!) which we were extremely grateful for. The house itself is very spacious which we loved! There were lots of cobwebs and we had an issue with aunts (which the host did offer to help with), but that's to be expected in the moutains. Overall though, the place was clean and ready for us. Big downfall for us was not having wifi. We still had to work while on vacation and had to go into town in order to get wifi. The host did have someone come look at it, but not till our second to last day there. It worked better after that, but still not the best (again though, you're in the moutains). The host was very responsive as well. Very kind and helpful. Definetly would stay again.

The house was nice however the water is to shallow at the dock to swim. There was a big wasp nest on the back deck that made using it impossible, there is a little paddle boat but its sunken which is a shame. Overall its a nice house we did have some issues with the internet but the owner said he is working to resolve it.There is a few cameras on site which i have never seen at a rental home before.
