Relax on the wrap around porch of this pre Civil War beauty. Amenities include a fully equipped farm house kitchen, 3 spacious bedrooms, 3 newly restored bathrooms, screened in porch, grand piano, two fireplaces, huge yard with mature trees, and ample off street parking (including room for trailers). Enjoy the period antiques and quilts through out the home. Located in downtown Caledonia across the street from the award winning Old Village Mercantile. The Mercantile is a wonder! Hand crafted ice cream, Colossal candy selection, wonderful antiques and more. You are a short walk from dozens of antique and collectible shops in the Caledonia Historic District. Name Bellevue (Beautiful View) by early French settlers the valley is consider the Northern gateway to the Ozarks., Whatever outdoor adventure you desire is probably nearby! Hiking, mountain biking, four wheeling, horseback riding, fishing, boating and more can be found with a half hour drive. Johnson Shut ins State park is a natural water wonderland. Elephant Rocks State Park has wonderful hiking trails and there are many, many lakes and streams in the area.
This property is perfect for a family or group of folks. The Caledonia community center and barn are within walking distance for events, weddings, or family reunions. The large kitchen makes cooking and visiting easy and comfortable. There is lots of room for a game of volley or spike ball, several sitting areas for conversations. There is a screened in area for hot summer nights and cool drink.
Just down the road is Roma's Food and Drink which offers beer, wine, pizza, gluten free pizza, wings, quesadillas, salads, gourmet mac and cheese and pulled pork. Roma's is a great place to eat with your children. The outdoor area has games for kids and adults.
The Old Village Hotdog Shoppe has dogs galore and just to name a few, the Viking Dog, Plant Based Dogs, Spaghetti Dog plus nachos and salad. Visit Caledonia, enjoy the local color and food plus get a taste of history.

We enjoyed our stay in Caledonia. The house was great and accommodated our needs nicely. We loved being able to walk across the street to shop and grab food. We also liked the proximity to Elephant Rocks State Park.

Overall I'm impressed with the upkeep of this historic property. It was well kept and situated right in the middle of town providing us convenient walking access to the venue. Definitely would recommend staying if you're in the area!
