Stari Trg ob Kolpi is situated in the Bela Krajina region, in the southeastern part of Slovenia, a 35-minute drive from the Kolpa River, which forms a natural border with Croatia. The surrounding area is characterized by its natural beauty, pristine rivers lush green landscapes, rolling hills and dense forests. The quaint town center is just a short drive away, offering charming boutiques, restaurants serving local delicacies, and a taste of authentic countryside life.

Wine lovers will enjoy visiting one of the local wineries such as - Vinogradništvo Malnarič in Semič one of the biggest wineries in the region which is a 30-minute drive away

The Kolpa River, which is known for its clear waters, is a great place for water-based activities such as kayaking, canoeing and a popular spot for swimming during the summer months. The rafting center ‘Rafting Kolpa in prenočišča’ is a 7-minute drive away from the property and the river Kopa a 7-minute walk away.

The region also offers various outdoor activities, including hiking, cycling, and fishing. There is a hiking area Mala Radenska Stena, a 7-minute drive away from the property and another, Vrh Veliki Gložac in Croatia which is a 35-minute drive away from the property
