Joyful Home near Monterey, Carmel, Pebble Beach, Big Sur- STR25-000023

This property was perfect for a multi-night stay in Monterey. My daughter graduated from CSUMB and this house was located by campus and was able to accommodate all 6 people easily. We enjoyed many meals together and the kids loved the game room set up in the garage. The house is very clean and the layout is perfect! It is much better in person than in pictures. It was only a mile to the beach. Highly recommended!

We came for a wedding and had 6 others with us so it was just enough room bathrooms and bedrooms for everyone. We cooked dinner one night and breakfast every morning. Plenty of room in the kitchen and dining area all the supplies were bought at Walmart just 3 blocks from the house. Just to keep things more economical for everyone being we all came from the east coast. The only thing that we wished they had at the house was a bbq grill. The host was very helpful and answered all my questions. I would probably stay again if we needed.

Suitable accommodations for the night near Monterey. Small beds for adults sharing (3 doubles/1 queen) but the place was clean/cozy and convenient.

We stayed at this VRBO with a group of four people and, overall, the inside of the home was clean and well maintained. The layout was spacious, with one bedroom downstairs, three bedrooms upstairs, a half bathroom downstairs, another full bathroom upstairs, and a bathroom connected to the master bedroom.However, I would not recommend this property for anyone traveling with pets, despite it being listed as pet friendly. The backyard had no grass at all — it was entirely concrete with lavender plants throughout the yard. Lavender attracts bees, and unfortunately my dog was stung during our stay. Her face swelled up severely and she began having trouble breathing, so I had to rush her to an emergency vet about 15 minutes away. Thankfully they were able to help her, but the unexpected ER visit cost me over 500.The backyard itself also appeared neglected and not well maintained. There were cobwebs everywhere outside, and it looked like it had not been cleaned in quite some time. If you plan to stay mostly indoors, the home itself is comfortable and clean, but the outdoor area was disappointing.Another thing to note is that the driveway only comfortably fits two cars.Check-in was simple since the key was left in a lockbox attached to the front door, but I would recommend upgrading to a modern keypad system that generates a unique code for each guest stay for added security and convenience.
