There are several items that need to be addressed at this property in regards to repairs/maintenance. Seems a prior guest has made an extensive list for the property management company, so I won't. If you are looking for an affordable place to stay, somewhere to lay your head at night after being out, this is a good option. I had an issue with the keypad upon arrival;however, the property management company was pleasant to deal with and resolve the issue quickly. 3.5 out of 5 stars at this price point.

Our initial impression of the Astronomer's Abode was that it was fun. The beds were comfortable and the location was good. However when I went to take a shower in the evening after a day of hiking, the shower door would not slide open. I contacted Devyn, he was unable to help until the next day after we checked out. I understand that someone could not come after hours, but it negatively affected our stay. Very disappointed

Not for gazing at the sky stars - cute apartment, nice porch with chair swings, enjoyed not having a tv. Close to everything, quiet, nice neighborhood for walks. Must climb steep stairs as located on second floor.

Property was clean. 1 bed had a broken box spring causing a sagging mattress but other bed was fine. The dryer had a tendency to auto-shut off mid cycle. Was still able to eventually dry clothes though. Owner did not respond to messages I sent through VRBO app. Overall good quality for the price.

Upon entering the apartment, there was an unpleasant odor that lingered throughout the space. The doors made noticeable creaking noises when opened or closed, which added to the discomfort.Kitchen: There were no cleaning supplies provided, and the available dishes were limited to very basic melamine plates and glasses.Bathroom: The shower glass door felt unstable and appeared to be poorly fitted. The toilet seat was broken, towels were limited, and there were no floor mats, which made it less comfortable and functional.Bedroom: The room felt quite stuffy and lacked proper ventilation. The beds were very small—unsuitable for a couple to sleep comfortably. Additionally, the wardrobes were filled with the owner's personal clothing.Host: The one positive aspect was the host’s understanding and support when we mistakenly checked out 30 minutes late, assuming the checkout time was 11:00 AM instead of 10:00 AM.

I was unable to make the trip, however my family still attended. They were impressed with the apartment and enjoyed the fun astronomer’s theme. It was easy to locate, a great price for the area, comfortable, and close to Whole Foods Market, restaurants, etc. It’s definitely a Vrbo we will want to visit again!

Everything was clean and we appreciated the washer/dryer and the massage chair. Beds were ok and kind of enjoyed not having a TV for distraction. Only two forks in the drawer so bring your own or buy some compostable ones if you have more than two people.

I’ve been waiting to do the review until I hear from Devyn. There were issues. Easy improvements could be made. (Fix the toilet paper holder) Update the second bedroom; maybe add somewhere to put a suitcase.

We stayed for just one night passing through. This rental made it so we could check out Sedona as a family for a full long day. Without this rental, we would not have been able to afford to stay, so thank you very much. It met our needs and was perfect for an overnight stay. The beds were comfortable. If you’re coming with a family and plan to cook, just know the kitchen supplies were very limited but could get the job done(you may need more forks!)

We had a great stay. The home was just as described. Everything was clean. If you plan on cooking, there was silverware but there were only 2 forks. Great patio for relaxing and sitting outside and nice washer and dryer making it easy to go home with clean clothes. We will be back soon

Our first time in Sedona, coming from the Grand Canyon. Astronomers Abode was perfect for us. Very clean. Two very nice bedrooms, bathroom, living area with kitchen. We spent most of our time out hiking and exploring. It was great to come home to our place to relax and spend the night. We would stay there again for sure!!!

Great location in West Sedona in close proximity to multiple grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, and hikes. The beds were SO COMFORTABLE and I loved the sheets. Kitchen was rather bare bones but enough for what we needed. Hammock chairs on the deck are so cute, wish we had good weather to use them. The massage chair was fabulous, we all used it. Please note, there is NO TV. My husband and son were disappointed because we were there during March Madness and opening weekend for MLB.

The apartment was good for what we needed. Our day was full of outside activities which kept us out of the apartment. Two key items to note. One there is NO TV. Two there is no toaster. Overall it fit our needs for one night when our day was full of activities.

The unit was clean and in a great location. Our host was great and was quick to answer any questions. Wait to see the door, it is a piece of art. It was cool to admire all of the glass art through out the unit. We really enjoyed after, a day of hiking, the hanging swings and the message chair. The location was perfect for us. We were super close to a variety of trail heads. We were just outside the busy traffic of downtown Sedona, but close to lots of restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

This place was just perfect for our recently visit to Sedona for the International Film Festival (our first time!). It’s on the west side of the city away from all the fancy tourist places, but close to all the theaters we needed to hit for our movies and discussion groups. The upstairs property is shared with the Melting Point(highly rated), and if time had allowed would have been fun to do a glass blowing project. The property fit us perfectly, but might have been a bit tight for 44 people not sharing beds (there is a hide a bed in the living room).The bedrooms were comfortable, bathroom clean and supplied, and the porch swings were great for looking at the spectacular views of the red rock while we enjoyed a glass of wine. The kitchen was functional if a bit sparse, but it ticked all of our boxes for being able to do some meals at home. (Sedona is pricey, so it saved our budget to be able to cook). End tables in the bedrooms and living room would have been a nice touch to hold phones, iPads glasses of wine, but if we go to the film festival next year, we will probably book Astronomer’s Abode again.

My son and I wanted an affordable place to stay in Sedona that provided for us to each have our own bedroom and a place to relax after a day of hiking. This location was perfect for that. I would highly recommend for an adult location...not really for kids. Would definitely stay here again.

Great access to hikes and restaurants. Comfortable beds. Hard to get responses out of the host about check in. The property stank of sewage upon arrival, the toilet was leaking on the floor intermittently and the exhaust fan was broken. Also there is no kitchen table or chairs to sit at, which aren't advertised in the pictures, just thought it was strange. And only two forks in a listing for four people.

Great location, quiet place, easy access. Communication with the owner was timely. We had one night of issue finding parking - it seemed like the glass shop below was having a class or something, but we eventually got a spot and it was fine. Really appreciated the laundry. The bathroom was super clean. There's a large rec area very close by with a playground and other fields. Thanks for a great place to stay!
