About this house rental
Fabulous opportunity to stay in a prestigious school area and the historic residential town of Winchester, MA. It’s located in a beautiful, quiet, and safe neighborhood on the west side of Winchester, MA, near Lexington, Arlington, and Woburn towns. Close to historic landmarks, restaurants, elementary school, highway, and public transportation. The in-law suite with a separate entrance is a part of a single-family house on the back of an A+ elementary school. Relax with your friends & family at this peaceful place.
The Space
The in-law suite has a private entrance. The space is separated by a door that locks. You do not share the space with anyone else. The suite includes spacious 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, eat-in full kitchen, central cooling (AC) and heating system, washer & dryer, and outdoor private picnic table area. The entire suite and picnic table area are on one floor in the first floor. There is outdoor 3-step stairs to get into the suite. Please see the photo.
7 minutes walk to the elementary school playground.
Drive 6 minutes to take the Commuter Rail to Boston and Salem from the suite. The nearest commuter rail station is Wedgemere in Winchester. Search MBTA commuter rail weekend pass.
Walk 1.1 miles (23 minutes) to take Bus 350 to downtown Boston or walk 1.2 miles (26 minutes) to take Express Bus 354 to downtown Boston.
1.2 miles (4 mins drive) to US-3/Cambridge Rd, restaurants and shopping area.

Bedroom B: 1 queen-size bed and 1 Convertible Sofa Bed.
Convertible sofa bed size: 5' 4.6" (length) 2' 7.8" (width)
The 6th guest can not be taller than 5 feet 4.6 inches
The sofa bed will be covered with a bed sheet, pillow, and comforter for the 6th guest.
Maximum is 6 guests only. Please do not check in with more people than you booked. Thank you!
Other things to note:
To maintain a great sharing environment in the suite, no guns, no assault weapons, no smoking (including Marijuana), no illegal drugs, no pets, and no parties indoors and outdoors, please.
Please note that guests are not allowed to use fireplace.

Jess's place was an excellent place for my husband, daughter, and me to rest and relax between college visits and visits with friends in the Boston area. The little apartment was clean, the bathroom was spacious, and the beds were comfy. The neighborhood was nice and quiet, and there was a nice hiking trail within easy walking distance. The kitchen had all the amenities (though we didn't cook while we were there). Highly recommend.

Very quiet and safe neighborhood. Not far from all the sites in Boston. House was clean. Everything inside the house is labeled on how to use it or find it. Jess was very responsive and helpful throught the entire process.

Jess was friendly and very responsive. Check-in process was easy. Location of the property was great. The neighborhood is beautiful and we loved our walks in the morning. The newly renovated bathroom was very nice. Heating system worked well. Those were the pros. The cons: there was no place to relax in the apartment. There were two sitting chairs in one of the bedrooms but no couch. The unit had a musty smell each time we entered. Opening up the windows helped to air out the unit. The kitchen was old although it included all appliances needed for a stay. The old desks in each room seemed unnecessary. Maybe replace the desk in the bedroom with two beds with a couch? While we loved the location and appreciated Jess’s friendly communication, we will not be staying here again.
