We have stopped in several different apartments in Looe over the years and without doubt Downderry at Westcliff has been the best. It was very clean and well resourced. The owner has made sure that there is everything you may need to have an enjoyable stay. The beds were very comfortable. The views from the front are beautiful. What a treat in the morning to eat breakfast and drink in the wonderful vistas. It has its own parking too which is quite a rarity in Looe. We would highly recommended Westcliff and would love to stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay in this perfect equipped appartment. The view over sea, beach and town from the large windows was fantastic. Before arriving we got a lot of very useful information from our host and problems with the smoke detector fixed Jason immediately. And Looe is very cosy too, we loved the little shops and cafés, the beach and the coastal path.

We stayed for 1 week in this perfect appartment. We arrived when it was already dark and woke up in an amazing kind of postcard. Stunning views !! Everything you could think of was there <3 Forever in love with Looe !!!

The property was very clean and well laid out. The kitchen had everything that one could possible need. The Beds were very comfortable, all in all very cosy. We were warned about the steps... Yes you need to be fit, my wife and I are relatively fit but still found them quite strenuous. We hired a car and during our two week stay used it only twice to visit Liskeard and the Eden Project. We got a parking fine of 25 pounds in Liskeard; I bought a parking ticket for 4 pounds just to make sure were covered but unfortunately it fell from the dash on to the seat, I could see it from outside the car.... ....Pity the parking attendant didn't . We were warned from the owner about this and heard from a few of the locals about their plight with the private Parking firms. I paid the fine at the post office in looe and the very nice lady there was more upset than I. Still I didn't let that spoil the holiday we spent lovely days down in Looe centre and on the Bay. We ate in the Pubs and had some lovely meals in the restaurants. The people of Looe are very friendly and we enjoyed our stay. We took the number 72 bus which stops just around the corner at the Point and traveled to Plymouth, it's a bit of a journey and took over an hour and a half, The bus takes the long way round to pick up and drop off holiday makers at different caravan sites. But it was very nice to see the countryside. I lived in Plymouth as a child for six months, so it was nice to go back for a visit. The Hoe in Plymouth is worth the visit and the shopping centre really nice. Another bus, again from the point took us to Polperro we spent a wonderful holiday there a few years ago and stay right on the harbour at the old Harbour Masters house, it was lovely to go back, Polperro is definitely worth a day out. As I say the property was beyond reproach and the view was splendid. At Hannafore Point, there are some lovely little beaches and rocky inlets, we spent a few hours just sitting and watching the boats come in and out of Looe. it would have been nice to have couple of camping chairs and a sun shade for that. I did consider buying some but we could not have taken them back to Germany, it would have been a waste of forty or fifty pounds. My Wife and I rarely go back to the same place twice and to be honest the steps were just a little too much for us. Having said that we had a lovely time. and would like to thank the Owner for his guidance and advice, and for such a nice holiday.

What a view from both main bedroom and living room. All that we needed in the way of cooking items etc. Loved the arm chairs for the rainy days in front of the TV watching some of the DVDs that are there, also lots of books for the book worms. Looe itself has not changed much since our last trip 27 years ago. Great place for the beach, walking, boat trips and as it is a fishing port a Great place for fishing boat trips if you have good sea legs. Going to Cornwall would not be Cornwall with out a cream tea. Martins the bakeries just over looe bridge in east looe does lovely fruit scones to eat in or take back to the apartment to make your own cream tea with that view WOW. For three of us, this holiday apartment was perfect. Very well supplied and having a beautiful view of the bay and river. Owner and housekeep very helpful. Thoroughly recommended.

Having returned from a visit to south-east England, we my wife and I remember and recapitulate the 3 weeks, which we spent, with great pleasure. We spent our 2nd & 3rd week in the to be assessed apartment in Looe (interesting as a name, Loo- e, for a village) and feel that we should give some feedback with respect to our impression of the housing facilities; in actuality it rather ends up to be a laudation. The site location is well chosen in an elevated position at the outskirts of Looe having a great view towards the village with its sand beach and at the village´s port entrance. It takes only a few minutes by foot to reach downtown and in the opposite direction there is the path to what could be called the country side, offering endless walkways. The apartment itself is quite sizable for 2 to 3 persons, is very well furnished and has a spick-and-span appearance. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, however with a, for us, much too soft spring architecture. The power shower is quite sizable and perfectly styled, the washbowl is of cute size, and the valve handle is broken which really was no problem, ones you are used to it. The staircase going upstairs leads to a combined kitchen and living room. Now this is really nice, very well furnished and the kitchen part is excellent designed and offers a full scope of kitchen necessities and all to have´s and to like´s for a short stay. We did not really miss anything. It seemed apparent to us that the owner him-/herself are, at least temporarily, living there. Well furnished, well maintained, and clean. …..in summary: very enjoyable…..and in case someone is not as lucky as we where as far as the weather is concerned, there is a great stack of books waiting to be read. If you find a better place in that area to stay, let me know. Basically considering the number of “estrellas” (I like the term when talking hotels) we would not hesitate to give 5 stars; adjusted for some personal particularities ……bed to soft, the bowl´s broken lever & the heating system thermo control difficulties: 4stars +
