The Cottage is a quiet efficiency studio beside a private lake in Stratford, OK, set among trees and open fields with country views all around. Guests come to slow down, sleep well and spend their days on the water. Fishing and paddling are the heart of a stay. Kayaks, life jackets and paddles are on site, along with a two-seat electric bass boat, and some fishing gear is available if you did not bring your own. Pick up bait in nearby Stratford and fish from the shore or from a boat. The Cottage is a one-bedroom efficiency with an open floor plan, refreshed with new bedding and furniture. There are two queen beds(sleeps 4), twin bunk beds (sleeps 2), so up to six can sleep. The kitchenette has a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and sink, and the bathroom has a walk in shower and hair dryer. WiFi is fast, and a Smart TV, heating and air conditioning are there when you want them. Outside, a pergola-covered patio has Adirondack chairs, wicker seating with cushions and a BBQ grill, facing the lake and pasture. There is open space for dogs and kids to run, and a pack n play and high chair are available for little ones. Pets are allowed. The cottage sits next to our family home but is separate, so you have your privacy.
