Everything was well organized and the hosts were very helpful!

Very cozy little house! Very try clean and stocked very well with coffee and some snacks. Very warm after being out in the cold Alaska winter. Amazing location as it’s right between Fairbanks and North Pole, as well as far enough away from the city lights so a chance at seeing the northern lights. Unfortunately, the weekend we were there was cloudy so we couldn’t see it from the property. But the hosts go above and beyond to let you know when the aurora is out! They were kind enough to let us know the aurora was strong and probably could be seen well from other higher up and darker areas nearby. They were also very accommodating to our schedule for late check-in and check-out. Would highly recommend this stay and I would stay here again if ever in the area!

Since we were hoping to catch the Aurora Borealis, the big draw was that the site was outside of city limits. In addition, they are individual cabins, so we did not have to worry about disturbing anyone if we entered or exited early or late. It was also fairly reasonably priced and the hosts were kind enough to stock some drinking water, assorted candies, and hot beverages so we didn't have to run right out to find a convenience or grocery store. The bed was pretty comfy.

First, upon turning into the property, there was no signage or path indicators that we should veer right, so we ended up going left and it was NOT a pleasant sight. We ended up in the area behind the 'cottage' that looked rather scary and derelict in the near-total dark at 1am. (It didn't look quite so bad in the daylight but it seriously looked sketchy in the dark!) Second, no handrail getting up the outside stairs - the steps are tall making it uncomfortable in the dark and rainy weather we had while there. Inside, there were no coverings (curtains, shades) on the windows in the front door, nor in the kitchenette area. And considering that you have to cross both of them to get from the sleeping area to the bathroom... In addition, the bathroom is so tight there's barely enough space to dry yourself between the shower and the toilet, so you have to open the bathroom door to dry and dress. You can actually see the toilet from the front door (see posted picture) The crystal clear view of and from the outdoors thru the kitchen and front door windows leaves much to be desired. And lastly, we found things a little dusty: the tops of the fridge and microwave had not been dusted in some time, the window sills were slightly dusty, and the pillows on the bed smelled of dust when I lay my head on them.
