Amiri Amity Point

Secluded location in the forest at the northern tip of the island, beach over the dunes 200m away. Master bedroom wing enormous, bed firm and extremely comfortable. Photos do not do this place justice. Abundant wildlife, massive undercover deck with BBQ, lounge and outdoor setting. We had friends join us for a weekend, the living, kitchen and other two bedrooms were in a separate linked pavilion. The shared bathroom has a glorious deep bath. We liked our kangaroo family greetings each day, the curlews and sound of the waves. Kitchen was well equipped, plenty of storage space. Entry to Flinders Beach 4wd just metres away, great fishing.

The two other bedrooms had comfortable beds, but I would call these medium mattresses. Great for a nap, less so overnight if you have back issues. We loved the look of the stairs descending to the yard, but identified immediately this as a risk with no railing, locked one of the side doors so that this area was not used at night. I would have liked a railing at the front steps to support me walking down. The driveway rocks are loose, another danger zone for me. In saying that, I am in my late forties and have sustained serious ankle injuries in the past.
