One messed up Place! A Total Disaster!

In the heart of a city pulsing with life, we found ourselves lured to an apartment whose address was deceptively simple to locate—a cruel irony, for it crouched in a neighborhood so vile, calling it "bad" felt like a mercy. The streets reeked of despair, shadows lurking in every corner, and the air itself seemed to choke on menace.
Our arrival was marked by a fleeting moment of normalcy. A man greeted us at the property, his demeanor calm as he explained the labyrinthine key system with a practiced smile. All seemed well—until he vanished. Barely an hour into our first night, the illusion shattered. The door rattled under the frenzied pounding of two drug-addled specters, their eyes wild with desperation, clawing at the threshold. They shoved against me, their strength fueled by whatever poison coursed through their veins. With a surge of adrenaline, I overpowered them, forcing the door shut and slamming the lock into place. My heart thundered as the echoes of their fists faded into the night. This was our welcome.
Morning brought no reprieve. We sought solace in the simple act of a shower, only to discover a single clean towel and a pitiful half of another, as if the apartment itself mocked our plight. I rummaged through the bathroom drawers, hoping for salvation, but found only a grim collection of soiled linens, reeking of neglect. We were in the city for an event, clinging to the promise of better moments, but this place was testing our resolve. Still, we pressed on, determined to endure.
But the final morning unleashed a cruelty that seared itself into our souls. At dawn, my phone began its relentless assault—call after call, each more hostile than the last, demanding to know when we’d vacate. It wasn’t even 9:00 a.m. After pleading and negotiating, we secured a fragile agreement to leave by 11:30. Yet, at 11:10, the door shuddered under a barrage of pounding. My son, brave but shaken, opened it to reveal a hulking, disheveled beast of a man...

Apartment Lyon
The apartment was as described. Clean and functional. Beds were comfortable but there were no towels? Lovely hot water. It also smelt of smoke although it said non smoking.
It was very hard to converse with owners as they didn't speak English. Once we found it, there were no major issues. No towels (large) only very small towels were available. Apartment did smell a bit smoke but could have been from other units.

Worst accomodation ever. DO NOT BOOK THIS
Cheap
- The location wasn't great. the area looks kind of dodgy
- The stove requires a lighter which the staff completely forgot to leave one for us
- The living room was too cold for the fifth person to sleep on the sofa
- Electricity keeps tripping when we turn the heaters in both rooms on
- The place wasn't clean. You can see some dusts and stains here and there.
- The bed broke as soon as we laid on it. We told the staff first thing next morning. They decided to come to the apartment to fix the bed in the middle of the day when we were all out in the city and expect us to be home to open the door for them. I told them we can't get home now (because of course we have other stuff to do) and expect that they can just go in to fix the bed (they should have backup keys right??). The staff then told us later on they left after waiting in the car for long and refuse to come back when we got back to the apartment (around 8pm).

Bon dépannage pour un week-end
L’appartement est décoré avec goût, il y a du dépannage (huile sel thé café) dans les placards. Le stationnement est gratuit est assez disponible.
Le quartier n’est pas très rassurant même si nous n'avons eu aucun souci. Il n’y avait que 3 serviettes petites tailles alors que j’avais réservé pour 5 personnes. Par ailleurs heureusement nous n'étions que 4 car le 5eme couchage (canapé) n’aurait pas fait l’affaire.
Le détecteur de mouvement qui allume le.couloir est un peu dérangeant surtout la nuit.

Nous devions nous rendre à la clinique medipole et nous y étions en moins de 10 minutes à pied, ce qui était parfait vu le prix que la clinique fait payer pour stationner sur le parking intérieur
Nous avons été désagréablement surpris par les extérieurs, car l'appartement est situé dans un immeuble à 5 étages, face à une usine 'heureusement sans bruit). Les volets extérieurement étaient sales et sur une fenêtre des voisins (visiblement absents) il y avait un pigeon mort (coté "parc"). L'intérieur nous a semblé bien d'emblée, il y a des efforts de faits. Par contre pas de chauffage, donc pull obligatoire. Magnifique écran plat mais panne de box pour pouvoir utiliser l'écran pour les chaines basiques. les appareils électroménagers n'étaient pas très propres ( les couvercles poissaient sous les doigts),dans le placard de cuisine, les tasses et les verres sont posés sur un linge qui mériterait un bon lavage, les draps et housse de couette étaient propres mais quand j'ai défait le lit avant de partir, il y avait un gros trou à peine rafistolé. La porte d'entrée de l'appartement aurait besoin d'être changée car elle ne joint pas bien et beaucoup de bruits au passage des habitants de cet immeuble.

La saleté des équipements était à désirer le canapé du salon était très sale nous avons eu des problèmes avec la voisine du haut qui nous crachait dessus par la fenêtre deux jours après notre arrivée nous avions plus d'eau chaude une personne âgée fermée le robinet du ballon dans le logement pendant notre absence......

La literie est à revoir pour les deux chambres car très mal dormi, lit mou et creuser
Le jour de l’arrivée impossible de prendre un bain ou une douche (eau à peine tiède )après 7h de route c’est décevant !
Et pour se doucher les pommeaux fixe comme mobile très bas et court donc faut pas être grand ni même de taille moyenne.
Sans parler du quartier… je trouve que tout ceci n’est pas mentionné dans l’annonce et c’est trompeur, seule avec ma fille je me sentais vraiment pas en sécurité ni même de laisser la voiture à l’extérieur

A NE PAS FAIRE
L'heure du rendez-vous n'a pas été respectée, nous avons dû attendre deux heures et demi avant de pouvoir récupérer les clés (perdant ainsi la moitié de l'après-midi à visiter Lyon), les locataires de la veille étaient encore sur place (mais pas les propriétaires !!!).. On nous avait annoncé 5 couchages, deux lits doubles et un canapé. Le canapé n'est pas convertible mais en plus mon fils a dû dormir sans draps ni couette ni oreiller alors que lors de notre réservation, nous avions précisé que nous étions 5 (taxes de séjour d'ailleurs appliquée sur nous 5). Le chauffe eau de 50 litres est très très insuffisant pour 5 douches !
Enfin, le quartier est très bruyant tard le soir.
