La Casa Nel Vicolo

Great location right near the lake ( just one row of buildings in front) and public parking. ( Pay but not too expensive ). The majority of the village is actually up the very steep hill behind so this was very convenient for just the one night at can't park up there as a visitor. A proper little house on 3 levels with modern decor and equipment and good beds. We didn't use any of the kitchen but it seemed well equipped . useful to have a ground floor WC as well as the 1st floor bathroom. The second bedroom is up a spiral staircase and was also v comfortable with a little window looking out over the roofs to the lake. Good Aircon. Nice hosts who were quick to give restaurant recommendations. The place deserves more than the one night as the village itself is really beautiful and there are walks along the lake and lots of character. We also had a great time hiring an eBoat from along by Bracciano and an inexpensive dinner. I think this is a much better place to be based than Bracciano. Would definitely return.

La casa è davvero super pulita e in ordine. La proprietaria ha pensato a tutto per rendere la permanenza piacevole. È la seconda volta che soggiorno, e se tornerò ad Anguillara, sicuramente tornerò qui

Anguillara Sabazia is a quaint and beautiful town. The location is superb - near the lake with the added bonus of taxis able to come as close as 30 meters from the apartment. The area is very quiet at night. The heating is excellent. The host Beatrice is quick to respond on whatsApp.

The WiFi password is made of 24 digits and letters of two sizes and is written on a blackboard. Alas, two digits and one letter are intentionally blurred (probably so no passersby copies the password because it is clearly visible from the window when open). Maybe the host isn't aware a 3 minute call or a visit to her WiFi provider will allow her to change the password to a shorter and easier password (I have 3 devices and it took me 20 minutes to connect them). The cloth on the window adhesive with a small sticker and plastic hook fell and so it somewhat compromised the feeling of privacy though foot traffic in this part of town is not frequent. There is a guide to the apartment posted on the entrance door. It is ugly and it includes archaic and strange rules, i.e. no unregistered visitors allowed to enter the home and a 30 Euro penalty if the kitchen is not left clean. These rules are absurd and not enforceable but they hint at a general attitude (an apartment is not only 4 walls. It makes one feel uncomfortable). The kitchen lacks a knife for cutting fruits and vegetables (there is only a large knife for cutting meat). Finally, the bed mattress is not optimal. Plastic or nylon fabric is on the top of around 85% of the mattress. I suspect that the mattress was arranged wrong and the bottom part is at the top (the other side probably doesn't have this synthetic material). I recommend the host dedicates a few hours of her time to check and fix such issues so to make guest's stay more pleasant.
