A unique and quiet escape that is a fishing, boating, kayaking and swimming haven. Come stay at "Reel Good Time" on Fish River, a rustic and cozy cabin with ample outdoor space near the house and right on the river for you to enjoy. There is no better place for tranquil quality outdoor family time with an onsite fish pond, dock and boat slip on the water, a large outdoor courtyard, patio, gazebo and large flat grassy yard. Bring your own boat and tie right up to the dock! No boat? No problem! You can use the provided kayaks to explore around the home's surrounding no wake zone, or swim or float to the sandbar right off the dock to spend the day in the water relaxing with your family. You can also feed the friendly bream in the on-site pond. Bring your own gear to fish right off the dock using the installed rod holders. The waters around the house boast bass, bream, catfish, stripers, mullet and more. Spend the morning on the swing under the gazebo and watch the herons fish in the pond and the mullet jump. In the evening, light up the charcoal grill and play a game of corn hole or jenga on the patio, or even try your hand at the tiki toss ring game!

We describe our home as a rustic "no frills" fish camp, yet you will have everything you need for a comfortable and cozy stay. The living room will comfortably fit a family for movie night. The first bedroom has a spacious king bed, while the second larger bedroom can comfortably sleep 4 with a queen and twin daybed with trundle. This second bedroom is a great hang out space for the kids with another small couch and TV set up. The home is toddler friendly, there is a pack and play and high chair available for use. We also supply child safety features including door knob covers, outlet protectors and a cabinet lock for under the kitchen sink. There is ample storage in the bathroom. Laundry is available in the garage where you will also find for your use during your stay: 2 kayaks with paddles, a wide range of life jackets, outdoor games, fishing poles and more.

Our property truly feels "away from it all" but you are still only 15 minutes to quaint downtown Fairhope and about 30 minutes to the white sand beaches of Gulf Shores. We hope you choose to spend your time at "Reel Good Time.”

We want your stay to be everything you hope it will be and therefore would like all renters to be aware of the following unique features about our property. We want every renter’s expectations to be fully met during their stay at our river front retreat.

• We do allow dogs under 25 pounds for an additional fee.
• Please note at this time the upper deck of the boat dock is temporarily unavailable due to maintenance.
• There is no dish washer in the kitchen.
• For security reasons we have two cameras outside, one facing the street and driveway entrance and one facing the waterfront.
• To note, both bedrooms contain exterior doors. We have included multiple locks and safety features to help prevent unwanted exits, you may choose to use which features you wish during your stay.
• As this is a waterfront home, dealing with bugs is an unavoidable way of life. We can not guarantee you will not see a single bug inside during your stay. We have routine, scheduled pest control to keep bug friends to a minimum.
