Casa Ladera, en Matanzas

The view is by far the standout feature—easily one of the best scenic spots in the area. The peace and quiet are wonderful. The hot tub is electric, which makes it very easy to heat up and use. The kitchen is also very well-equipped, and we loved the location, well away from the crowds.

Out of the three bedrooms, one was practically uninhabitable due to the heat, and another, while more bearable, was still extremely warm. It really needs air conditioning or at least window screens to allow ventilation without mosquitoes getting in. The house has no Wi-Fi; while it was listed under the amenities, it isn’t explicitly mentioned in the description and I missed it beforehand (I planned to work remotely, but mobile coverage was very poor). On our last day, the water ran completely cold, likely because the gas ran out—it would have been helpful to know this could happen so we could keep an eye on the tank. Finally, access from the parking area is via a steep flight of stairs, which is not suitable for guests with reduced mobility or older pets.

Los baños tienen pared de vidrio, lo que quita privacidad. Pero fuera de eso, todo es hermoso en la casa.
