Madhawa Ubud Villa & Spa

We loved that it was a little off the beaten path and in an area that was a little quieter than downtown Ubud. It was special and felt like we were the only ones staying at the property. There was no view, but it was not missed.

Everything was fabulous

The villa is within the grounds of the family property. It was a great opportunity to understand the traditional family way of living in Bali. We were greeted every time we passed the entrance by various family members. The owner also runs a taxi / driver business and was able to drive us to all the locations we wanted, including airport pick up. The property is located in a village that is still traditional, away from the craziness of Ubud centre, and there were many local restaurants where we could eat in the evening.

Place is great and with good taste. Although in location like this where there is a lot of flies and ants is required housekeeping every day (collecting the trash, changing towels). We used same pool towels for all our stay (5nights). For the money and standards that should be done daily. Toilet paper have not been restock during our stay. No hot water in the kitchen - we cleaned the dishes in the bathroom (there we had hot water). Family was nice and helpful with check in, but too pushy with taxi services by the husband. Id recommend to improve english to help communicate with the Guests.
