Exceptional villa in Ubud

After looking at a million options in Ubud we are so happy we found Madhawa. Fantastic villa with exceptionally friendly and helpful owners. The villa itself is beautiful, new and has a great view, the Balinese breakfast is delicious. Will definitely be staying here again next time we’re in Ubud. Location is slightly far from central ubud but we had no problems getting grab drivers quickly.

- Beautiful accomodation. Both Kadek and Yunik were wonderful hosts and they truly made the stay fantastic. - The villa was clean and tidy, the pool and the view was stunning and the breakfast each morning was delicious. - It was really nice to stay in a more traditional village. - There are great places to eat nearby like Oding Space and also the Jambangan Cafe (which also offers cooking classes) - Overall, this is fantastic for couples looking for a quiet getaway ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amazing

My stay at the villa was truly wonderful. Yunik is one of the kindest and most thoughtful people I’ve met here, and her warmth made the experience even more special. The villa itself is stunning. I’ve been to Bali and Ubud many times, and this is without a doubt one of the most beautiful places I’ve stayed. The room was spotless, the garden perfectly cared for, and the pool sparkling clean. It doesn’t have a hotel or resort feel. It’s more like being welcomed into a home. To reach the villa, you walk through a family compound with small temples, which offers such a lovely glimpse into local life. There is some construction on the property, but I barely heard any noise at all during my stay. The villa is also easy to reach if you want to order Grab or request a car/bike. Just note that from the street you go up a few steps, and once inside the property there are a few steps down to the villa, so anyone with mobility concerns should keep that in mind. It wasn’t an issue for me, as Yunik kindly helped carry my luggage. Don’t forget to bring insect repellent. People who are bothered by animal sounds at night or by the presence of a gecko here and there inside the room should keep that in mind. But they’re harmless and a common occurrence here in Ubud, after all, we’re surrounded by nature. The room had all the toiletries I needed. My only suggestion would be to include some body lotion. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I’ll happily recommend this villa to my friends.

Perfect peaceful stay near Ubud

We really enjoyed our stay at Madhawa Ubud Villa. The accommodation is modern, very clean, and offers complete privacy. The owners are extremely kind and helpful, and we could even rent a scooter directly at the villa. The location is peaceful, away from the busy centre of Ubud, yet everything is easily reachable by scooter. A perfect place for a relaxing stay!

An excellent stay

The villa is uniquely tucked in the back end of a family housing complex, which overlooks to a small river and jungle. It is newly built --- gave us the advantage of enjoying the new facilities, which truly are at par with 5-star hotel's. Everything looked exactly the same as in the pictures and functioned well. Radi, the host, was extremely friendly and helpful. She went the extra mile to make sure our stay was a comfortable one. We also got the chance to meet the owner and her mother upon our departure. Very lovely folks. I wish I booked more nights. Will definitely consider the villa again next time we return to Ubud.

Minor stuffs: - The roadside parking spot. Wish there's a designated parking spot, even a small one should be OK. - The shower area, which we think was a tad too small, hence the water from the showerhead over sprayed and easily wet the floor.

Private pool was great! Loads of little add-on to make it feel very special. Felt very much like a Homestay. The family were very friendly and helpful. My wife was ill during the night and the owner very kindly took her to a clinic for help.

By far the most beautiful accommodation I have stayed in anywhere.

The most wonderful, beautiful, quiet peaceful property. Exceptionally clean and wonderful hosts. The included breakfast was delicious and bottled water/ filter was very handy, ( we didn’t need to buy any water). Lovely having a mosquito Net around bed although we never saw a mosquito. Huge bathroom with excellent shower, loads of room and storage. We used a driver to get around and also the host is a taxi driver . The villa is out of the craziness of Ubud which was great for us , so quiet and lovely to relax in the beautiful pool surrounded by tropical garden. The villa is within the host family’s home/ temple which was incredible. Very private. 10/10

Beautiful, clean, peaceful stay with a great host and floating breakfast.

This place is even more beautiful in real life than in the pictures! Everything was super clean, and it’s in a peaceful, quiet are and perfect for relaxing. The pool was spotless and really inviting, and we loved the floating breakfast. The host was really friendly and made us feel very welcome, which added to the overall great vibe of the stay. It is a bit of a drive from the center of Ubud, so keep that in mind if you’re planning to explore a lot, but honestly, the peaceful location was worth it. I’d definitely stay here again and would totally recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

Place beautiful but needs improvements.

Place is great and with good taste. Although in location like this where there is a lot of flies and ants is required housekeeping every day (collecting the trash, changing towels). We used same pool towels for all our stay (5nights). For the money and standards that should be done daily. Toilet paper have not been restock during our stay. No hot water in the kitchen - we cleaned the dishes in the bathroom (there we had hot water). Family was nice and helpful with check in, but too pushy with taxi services by the husband. Id recommend to improve english to help communicate with the Guests.

The hosts of this villa are so welcoming and make you feel like family. The villa was stunning with everything you need including a water filter station. Madhawa Villa is a true paradise for anyone seeking peace and the beauty of Bali. From the very first moment, it’s clear that the owners, Kadek and Yunik, pour their hearts into this place. Kadek was not only incredibly helpful but also a fantastic driver, always happy to share his knowledge about the area. Meanwhile, Yunik was always ready to answer any questions and assist with anything we needed – thanks to them, we felt completely at home. The most unforgettable moments were the mornings by the pool overlooking the jungle. Watching the sunrise from this spot is something we’ll never forget – pure magic!

Spacious, very private, nice private pool for ye villa, clean, nice bath tub and showers, jungle scene, private kitchen, bed with mosquito net for practical and ambiance setting, very responsive staffs for services and transportation arrangement, well kept public garden with beautiful bonsai, very reasonable pricing!

For us, it was an asset as the property is small and located in a small neighborhood setting without much other hospitality facilities near by. For ourselves, as the owner can provide services as listed, and also are responsive to transportation arrangements, we were very happy with the small and private swings. For those not into these types of settings may find it differently.

Ha sido el mejor alojamiento en el que hemos estado nunca. La atencion es inmejorable, desayunos personalizados y piscina con vistas a la selva. Mención especial a Yunik, posiblemente la mejor anfitriona que os encontreis, no le falta detalle. A 15 minutos en taxi/grab al centro de Ubud (2 euros) Sin duda, la mejor eleccion. Repetiriamos sin ninguna duda.

Excellent je recommande!

Un lieu magnifique avec une villa d’une grande chambre et une piscine sur la nature. Villa bien équipée, spacieuse et propre. Quant à l’emplacement c’est à 15 min d’Ubud par moto. Le personnel fut hyper gentil et attentif : Yunik et son mari ainsi que sa famille ont toujours été souriants et serviables, je les remercie du fond du cœur. On reviendra à coup sûr.

Un petit coin de paradis 🧡

La villa était INCROYABLE et située dans un cadre idyllique : - la chambre spacieuse avec un lit très confortable avec vue sur la piscine - la salle de bain avec sa jolie baignoire avec vue sur la piscine et une douche avec des pierres dans un esprit très zen - l’espace cuisine/salle à manger est ouvert et donne vue sur la piscine - la piscine est à débordement et offre une vue exceptionnelle sur la végétation Yunik était vraiment adorable et nous a mis aux petits oignons. Son mari, driver, tout aussi agréable, nous a conduit à notre prochaine destination, Munduk. Notre séjour à Madhawa Ubud était juste parfait, mille mercis Yunik et son mari !!!!

Superb!

Mi-a placut foarte mult curatenia si atentia la detalii. Vederea peisajului din pat, piscina si cada fac din aceasta locatie un loc plin de magie. Locatia dispune de frigider si un dozator de apa potabila oferit de gazda, dar din pacate nu functiona racirea acetuia in acel moment, dar nu a fost un impediment pentru a ne bucura de experienta locului. Posibilitatea de a face baie in cada si vederea naturii este un mare plus, mai ales ca am putut sa ma bucur si eu de aceasta experienta alaturi de partenera mea, avand in vedere ca am 1,91 cm inaltime. Locatia este chiar mai frumoasa in realitate decat in poze, iar gazdele foarte primitoare. Am ales si serviciul de inchiriat scooter de la gazda pentru a ma putea bucura de plimbari linistite alaturi de partenera.

Nu pot spune ca sunt aspecte care nu mi-au placut, dar trebuie sa aveti grija ce alimente lasati pe afara deoarece furnicile le vor gasi cu usurinta. Am mai avut si un vizitator ocazionat, un Ratatouille, dar pe mine personal, nu m-a deranjat. Un aspect care a reprezentat un disconfort ocazional, a fost zgomotul de la constructiile din apropiere, zgomot care perturba linistea micului-dejun sau unei relaxari la piscina. Micul dejun a fost inclus in pret si suficient pentru noi, dar nu este asemanator cu ce suntem obisnuiti in Europa, ca si diversitate sau cantitate.

Da sogno

Da dove parto? Non c'è niente che non vada in questo alloggio, i proprietari sono delle persone squisite (Kadek è anche un driver, quindi ci ha accompagnato in qualsiasi posto a qualsiasi orario). La villa in sé è un sogno, curata in ogni dettaglio, molto meglio che dalle foto presenti sull'annuncio. La colazione buona, abbiamo provato anche la colazione galleggiante (per 150.000 IDR direi che è d'obbligo provarla). Si può comunicare con Kadek comodamente su WhatsApp per ogni cosa. Una vera favola, ci avremmo passato volentieri qualche giorno in più.
