Al Salam Camp Bidiyah

The staff was very helpful and we were upgraded to a tent instead of the room we had booked. The tent was very comfortable and well furnished, in the middle of nowhere. I didn't expect it to be so comfortable — we even had AC and a fridge in our tent.

I didn't like its location — it was on the edge of the main road which leads to the desert. The hotel appeared to be a very commercial type of place... tents and rooms are lined up next to one another and it loses the charm of the traditional spirit of a remote place. The hotel is not inside the desert and that was really disappointing because we did not realize it from the pictures online.

We stayed here in January for two nights. Our Deluxe Tent was comfortable, with a king size bed, air conditioner, mini fridge, and water boiler. WiFi is only available in the reception area and the WiFi tent, but we also sometimes have connection from our tent. Breakfast and dinner are both delicious. It’s buffet style with a variety of choices. Lots of veggie options as well! In addition there is a bbq station for dinner and an omelette station for breakfast. For two days it was perfect. There is a sand dune right behind the hotel, it takes about 15 mins to walk up and it’s perfect for watching sunrise and sunsets. We came with our 4x4 but it’s reacheable via a regular car. There is only about 10-15 mins of dirt road, the rest are paved.
