バイキングの料理の品数が豊富であることと、美味しいものが多かったです。北海道のホテルでは、ランクかなり上位と思います。人が多くはありましたが、配膳もてきぱきしていて、混んでて嫌な感がなく、ビュッフェ形式の晩御飯としては、相当満足しました。
唯一、浴衣の上に羽織る羽織が、ちょっと昨今旅館でないレトロの重さでした。

The spa water may smell very strongly, but it does make you feel good. Friendly staff. Comprehensive buffet dinner
The onsen pools were a little small, they could potentially be easily crowded.

The best thing about the hotel was the proximity to Mount Io and Lake MASHU Observatory to visit and experience this spewing volcano really quite close up. There was a nice room that overlooked a lit garden . WE went to 2 other hotels in the resort before finding the right one.
The hotel was dark and not very welcoming. We hadn't booked dinner so went into the small high street no where was serving food at 7.15pm and again quite unfriendly saying they were full when they weren't and that they had run out of food. Breakfast was plentiful but not very nice everything seemed to be covered in a gelatinous cover. So we checked out and didn't return for a second night.
