The Hayloft, Marsden

We were walking, which meant a steepish hill to the property. But the views were worth it, the property was immaculate, Marsden is like a min-Hebden Bridge, the train station isn't too far away, and at the New Inn at the bottom of the hill, two pints of White Rat Ale costs £6.60 - ie about half what you'd pay in Edinburgh.

The property was very homely with wonderful views of the moors behind the property and of the valley where Marsden is located. Everything was thought of for anyone staying at the property including board games, plenty of kitchen crockery and cutlery, and plenty of seating for relaxing and dining. Wood was provided for the burner and extra available on request. The place was warm despite the cold weather outside. All the beds were very comfortable to sleep in. The walk to Marsden was easy and only 5 mins where there are a number of pubs, shops, and cafes. The village itself was very friendly - wherever we went for food or a drink. The owners of the property were very welcoming and available if anything additional was needed.

It was all good.

Excellent location, great facilities and very good value for money. Would highly recommend and would come again. The wood burner is an excellent touch!

Probably the only downside is the lane up the the property is a bit rough bit that's not really a negative, just something to be aware of.

Lovely private set up. Well decorated, clean and well appointed with fabulous views.

Very minor issue with the shower but nothing that inconvenienced our trip.
